These gauntlets give off a faint glow while there's an active thunderstorm within 5 miles of you. While wearing the gauntlets, you have resistance to lightning damage.

Ride the Lightning. When a creature within 30 feet of you that you can see takes lightning damage, you can use your reaction to magically teleport to the nearest unoccupied space on the ground within 5 feet of that creature. When you do, you vanish and transform into a brief arc of lightning, landing and reappearing in the new space. Alternatively, if a lightning bolt lands or affects a space within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to instantly teleport up to 100 feet up or down the bolt's length, reappearing in another unoccupied space within 5 feet of the lightning. If doing so would cause you to fall 10 or more feet, you float gently to the ground.
