When my 75 lb dog Azrael Abyss was stalking obsessively for 2 days, I knew We had a mouse in the house. Azrael stood with her nose between the kitchen and dining room radiators waiting…. Just waiting… eventually she chased the mouse right into my bedroom as they (both dogs Azrael and Muriel) tore through the bedroom full speed ahead. Knocking down mirrors and tearing over and under the bed for the rest of the night. It’s actually normal for this time of year. As we were moving into this house, we noticed that it was pretty infested with mice and our solution was to buy a lot of live traps or traps that will not kill mice. I spent my childhood Filling and emptying mouse traps that were deadly to these little guys and as an adult I hate using those traps (at the time we didn’t know about live traps) This is our other option and it seems to work pretty well for us. The key is taking the mouse over 3 miles away from the house because a mouse can track its way back home up to 3 Miles. Credit is is the perfect place because there’s lots of spots for this little guy to run and hide and have a chance at life, although there are a lot of predatory animals out here so I don’t know how good of a chance this little guy has, but it’s better than an immediate kill since this little guy hasn’t done any harm. It was so cute watching him run away. I hope he found a safe place and has a happy little life on credit Island with some mouse babies and some mouse friends. After we released this little guy, we took a drive and saw some beautiful things, including a cormorant That had injured its wing. It was in the middle of the ice so there’s no way we could get to it and it was afraid of us so it wasn’t coming anywhere near us. I hope the little dude ended up being OK.
