Here's a little taste of my performance from the 4/21 show at Café 413. This was my first performance since before having my hysterectomy in October. The last performance I did was at The Empty Bottle with Obscura Burlesque for the Riot Fest aftershow. I was so upset because right before I went on stage I started having massive bleeding because a cyst had ruptured. The next day I drove back to Erie and made an appointment with my doctor because something just felt SO wrong. And I was right. If your body is speaking to you, listen. It could be saying something so important. When I did finally see the doctor she told me I was dangerously low in iron from the blood loss and had to immediately start transfusions before she would even consider operating. I had to postpone the show in Buffalo at the end of September because I was immediately put on bedrest. And I'm happy to say that we're working to get that rescheduled for this year! But you all already know all of this.

Anyway, I'm happy to be able to move my body again and be in front of such a supportive and loving audience. I know I have limitations, I can't do all of the same things I used to. It's going to take more time to get back to my old bucking bronco ways, if I'm every fully able. I'm just going to listen to my body each step of the way.
