I have been going to Camera Corner in Davenport Iowa since I can remember. My father always let me tag along with him when I was young and I still love getting my equipment there today. When I’m regaled with stories of my father it makes me smile. They’ve known us forever and I love that.
Do you have any of those spots in your hometown that you have shoppped your entire life? A local small business hardware store or restaurant perhaps? I want to know about it.

A bunch of us kids would ride our bikes there if we had even a few cents to spend. Now years later I realize it was just hanging with good friends that I mostly remember. Special days of my youth.🥲

I still stop at that same gas station all these years later for roasted peanuts. The station has changed a lot but it is still owned by the same family. It brings a smile to both the owner and myself when we talk about the her mother and mine.
