We're nearing the end of the year. The winter solstice is Tuesday, marking the longest night of the year. In Celtic paganism, this fight between the light part of the year and the dark part of the year are taught through the story of the Holly King and Oak King. The Goddess births the Oak King on the Winter Solstice which brings the growing sun. There's also a full moon tonight which is a good opportunity to shed light on the things we have done throughout the year, and what shadow work we should be doing as the next lunar cycle begins. What introspection have you done during these dark months? What are you going to leave behind in 2021?
