“Too dark for lifetime”

The story Haley and I have been producing about Lorraine Gail Smith, a dancer in Boston’s Combat Zone, was given a pass by Lifetime. Their exact words were “it’s too dark for lifetime”…

Is it a bit too dark or does Lifetime cringe at humanizing sex workers?

Dark does not seem to be a path Lifetime avoids.

Im a bit confused, Considering this is a partial list of Lifetimes most popular vehicles, including…

I totally agree with you Danielle.. Lifetime has so many docudrama it's ridiculous..

Chris Jock

I also just reread your earlier story about her and how she died. I will never understand how any man could do what he did. Her life was cut short and for what? It’s a real tragedy. And the douche bag got away with it! So sad.

Greg Smith

I appreciate you reading about her. I wish she was still with us. I’m sure she would have been a big personality with lots of stories to share.

Danielle Colby Striptease Historian

I went back and reread Your account of her tragic story from a few months ago. Such an awful fate for someone who seemed so kind. 💙

Jeff Black

Yes. Scared. She was afraid for her life. She was attacked hours after this photo. Hospitalized until her passing 2 weeks later. I have this costume. It’s a heavy collection.

Danielle Colby Striptease Historian

Is it just me, or does she look really sad in this pic?

Jeff Black

We have so many options I’m not even concerned but we had to try them since they’re network family.

Danielle Colby Striptease Historian

🤬 Have you tried a network like Reelz or Oxygen?
