Added 2021-02-15 18:40:19 +0000 UTCSo I just had to make the decision to shut down production for the day because of the massive ice storm that has started to blanket Columbia Tennessee and is headed for Nashville. We are supposed to get 11 inches of snow, we did not anticipate the ice rain. Since we are still on the road driving, We are going to take it slow.
Haley is in the driver seat and we are used to this kind of weather because we both grew up in the Midwest however, Tennesseans are not used to this weather so that makes the roads a little bit extra dangerous.
Fortunately there’s not very many people on the road right now so we’re pretty much taking up the entire highway.
Haley does look like an old grandma while she’s driving but I’m pretty happy that she’s taking her time and not worried about her posture right now😂

)) A little sorry for Helly, she must be tired and tense while driving, all the same, the road is dangerous in such weather. Good luck on the road!

2021-02-15 18:59:01 +0000 UTCI got held up in Tennessee a few years back driving to Texas for my grandmother’s funeral. Spent two days near Loretta Lynn’s ranch. When I hit the road again, everything was fine until I crossed the bridge into West Memphis, Arkansas. You’d figure they’d know how to clear the roads, but nope. After hours in traffic, I decided to turn around and head back to Virginia, which afforded me a chance to spend the night near Nashville. Anyway... long story short, winter weather sucks.
