A Safe Space...
Added 2020-06-12 20:54:17 +0000 UTCWhat a difficult and inspiring time to be a creator. The unprecedented times that we live in rob me of my desire to create so I have to push myself into uncomfortable realms to wake up my serotonin.
A recent move has allowed us the good fortune to acquire a small but sweet little swimming hole that has been a true blessing. I’ve been spending as much time as possible in the water as a form of therapy and I’ve really been enjoying creating soothing water videos and photos sets.
Here are just a few from my most recent photo shoot from this morning. I thought it was really important to play with perception at this time. I love the way the water makes you question your perception and tricks the depth perception. It creates illusions that aren’t really there for more than a split second. Much like life.

Work is my mental safe space because I'm usually too busy to think about anything outside the task at hand. But once I get in my car to come home... All bets are off and everything comes crashing back down. If anything in my personal life deviates too far from the norm, the anxiety kicks in and I tend to break down.
