New things to the studio!

I’m so excited to be building up my costume collection for my students at my studio. Now my students can purchase, rent and borrow affordable costumes to perform in. When I started out in burlesque the costumes were so difficult to find and afford. I didn’t know the ins and outs of affordable costuming that looks on point on stage.

There were too many costumes in my history that were hot glued and fabric fused together.

I wish I had known then what I now know...

It’s very important for a performers costumes to be beautiful on the inside and outside. Backing and reinforcing our costumes is essential. I also check for lose threats and missing crystals before every show now but then, not so much...

Unlike me, my students will have the chance to do it right from the start 🎉
