Finally we can call Tricia by her real name: Number Six! In the original, Starbuck was played by Dirk Benedict, who's most well known for playing Templeton 'Faceman' Peck on The A-Team. Both the 70s Battlestar Galactica and The A-Team were indeed much more of a boys club than the newer show. The show was not suddenly cancelled - they knew well beforehand that season 4 would be the last season.
