why does he keep thinking that Galus gave her lifespan?. She just got an extended lifespan cause hers ran out but due to her death being stopped, her lifespan began again. Nothing states that Shinigamis can give lifespan

2025-11-13 05:30:10 +0000 UTCMaybe Light killing humans with the Death Note isn't actually interfering with the natural order because the Death Note has become part of the human world. If everything in the world is predetermined, Light wouldn't actually be shortening the lifespan of anyone when he kills, which also explains why he can't extend his own life by using the Death Note. Shinigami are not a part of the world, so they are able to change it's predetermined path. They can kill humans before their lifespan runs out in order to extend their own. I don't think Gellus died because he killed someone before he was supposed to die, aka. interfering with the natural order. I think he died because him killing that guy nullified Misa's death which kind of broke the laws of nature because Misa didn't die, but she also didn't have any lifespan. In other words, she was neither dead or alive. A bug in the system. This is why shinigamis have to give up their lifespan when this happens. whether he transfered his lifespan himself or it's something that happens on it's own, I have no idea. This is just my theory tho.
