GUWEIZ Patreon Series EP50 (Process Walkthrough)

Hey everyone, the process walkthrough is up for this set! It's quite a bit of new territory that I've covered in this series, so feel free to listen in on how challenging it was :) As always, these are as much a sharing and instructional video as they are open calls for questions, so if you have any regardless, please feel free to ask it below!

Additionally, if you've happened to send me a DM regarding any drawing question, feel free to comment below to remind me as well, I know I can be a little sloppy with making sure everything is covered at all times, but I do 100% always answer these comments!

As always, a huge thanks to all your wonderful support here on Patreon, it's what allows me to keep challenging myself to make better works (and exist♥) :)

You are great!! you've been updating super great stuff very frequent and you deserve the world and everything! no pressure and really love this emo piece. I usually have your videos either at a small window when i draw or listen it as a podcast which is very calming. Keep up the good work! Please take care and have a good rest!

Welcome, I've added you!

Hello and welcome!! I think I'm still fairly granular when it comes to the starting part of the process, just that it tends to get a little bit too clunky when it's in the later stages of painting and the priority becomes problem solving - the merging is really a way to try and clean things up a little :)

new patron here! This was a super interesting video and really cool to see how it evolved. I’m curious, I just went back and watched some of your older process videos where you were much more granular with your layers and I’m wondering has your process changed much since then? I think the way you used layers and merging was super interesting. Hope you have a good break!

Interesting how that one scene evolved from happy to full lean on sad for this set of pictures. If you feel tired, consider to reward yourself, maybe with a break/vacation or whatever fuels up your energy. Maybe even more important since you are older now;)

Hi! I’ve really been learning a lot from you. If possible, I’d love to see a complete recorded art process video, even if it only has background music and no narration ;) keep it up!

Migo

Thank you so very kindly! It's a combination of factors that has been a little challenging, but I think next year will be a very fresh start as I'll be looking to drop every single non-personal work commitment for at least the first half of the years! ;)

GUWEIZ

Really liked these ones. Just on the last few things you mentioned, firstly, a fully recorded process would be awesome! Second thing, being tired is totally normal and every one needs rest from time to time. We are all human. Maybe one month could be more about quick sketching or something in case you feel like taking a little break from these larger illustrations. Or just take a month off completely. I think I speak for a lot of us here when I say that we’ll still be here when you come back (: hope all is well and take care!
