when i pray

For guidance for protection
For eyes to see the hilarity
I ask for sight
For wisdom
For doors to be opened
And closed accordingly
I let myself cry out energetically
In search of becoming who I was born to be
I don’t pray very often
But when I do
I metaphorically fall on my knees
In awe of being here
I let myself feel the unexplainable ‘thank you’
