Well I thought I'd done it. I thought I'd finally made a release that wouldn't need a day 1 patch, but here we are. The playtesters did indeed do an amazing job, and then I made one small change right before I compiled, so small I figured it wouldn't even need to be tested and hey... I should have tested it!
The good news is that the cause of this problem is so small that I don't need to do another full build. Simply download the patch below and copy the file inside it to the data folder. Full instructions are in the readme, if you have any trouble, get in touch and I'll help.
If you've already encountered the black screen bug, then the good news is that you can continue from right where you left off - just reload the autosave after you copy your files across. It should start with a conversation between Abbie and Missy.
If you have downloaded the game, you need this patch. If you haven't, the links in the original article will be updated as soon as the fixed version is uploaded.
Sorry everyone - I've been trying to get it perfect all day and ended up rushing at the last, but it should be working now.

Hey, could you properly version the filenames for these downloads? That makes it much easier for players to manage their files for the game. Something like "Missy 0.8 win" would be great. Also, you should name your exe file "Missy.exe" and give it an icon from the game, that makes it easy to find.
