The NoSleep Podcast

It's all medical drama in the stories I feature in this month, where I play a very stressed new mother in 'Tonsillectomy', and have a bit part later on in the paid section of the episode for 'Rattlebones' as a nurse. Very weird and wonderful episode for you!

Future Games Show Summer Showcase Filming

I met up with old friend Jules from the WhatCulture days to film for Future Games Show Expansion Pack, which you can watch after the Summer Showcase on the 8th June (keep your ears peeled in that too for a voice you might recognise, and an eye on the FGS YouTube channel for any other surprises too)!

Sting Screening

I faced some fears this month and spent the night in London hanging out with a big old spider (!!!) to watch new horror movie Sting. You can catch a mini review and see the tarantula I HELD (!!!) on my Instagram, as I won't jumpscare anyone with the foul beast on here. It's name was Rosie which I think made me feel a lot better. Team Bikini support even from afar!

Limit Break Mentoring

May saw the start of working with a voice acting mentor on Limit Break to grow my skillset for character work, as well as mentoring my own mentee in content creation. This is a really cool platform and something I'm very gassed to be a part of. There's not loads of updates for this as it's all based on mentor/mentee relationships and meetings, but still a fun thing to share that's work related and going on in the background. Hopefully you see the benefits of it very soon!

Kinell's Sinister Cinema 69: Indie Era with ASH MILLMAN

Kinell had me over on his Sinister Cinema podcast to talk all things indie horror, spooky games, and going solo. I just love yapping, as I'm sure everyone knows by now, so it was a pleasure to go into detail on why indie horror specifically is so important. Ash Millman | Streamer Stories Podcast #72

I also had a good old chat with Johnny Beard on the Streamer Stories Podcast, where we went into my history with gaming, streaming, and the internet at large. Johnny is such a lovely soul and this podcast is a wonderful insight into how content creation works for individuals from all across the industry. It was a pleasure to come in as the season six finale (though looking back at this I don't know why I let my roots get so long in the time period we recorded in, it's weird to see what I'd look like as a brunette)!

The Horror Game Awards

I'm actually a full producer for the Horror Game Awards now, meaning I help shape the production from inception to release alongside the massively talented and spooky crew already involved in its creation. This is such a cool position and something I'm really excited about working on more closely as the year goes on, alongside the usual presenting.

Personal Life

Outside all the various work bits, we welcomed little kittens Gonzo and Ozzy into our family home and they are adorable little goblins in the best possible sense. It's been really weird having new Cat Energy in the house after so many years with Toastie, but we're all getting used to each other well. Here are some pictures of them that make me physically SICK because they are so CUTE.

I also managed to get monetised and demonetised on YouTube in the same month, so that was an experience. Fortunately it's an easy fix, just one I have to wait some time to sort out thanks to AdSense locking me out of changes for a month. We live and we learn.

Slam Dunk North 2024

I also went to Slam Dunk, my fave pop punk day out, with me wonderful Newcastle pals (including another coveted appearance of the honourable Josh Brown) for an afternoon of sloshing around in the mud. Here's some pics of me getting silly and soaked!!
