Make new, updated versions of older heads or do new ones seperated from the old ones

Yes, another poll, this poll will not be made set in stone or will lock any further development in one direction but a more of a feel what you, the users feel like over the potential of either old heads will get updated with more defined, get better edgeloops where it makes sense and more or the older heads will be left how they are and we will move on to new heads that are based on older predecesors, like in a near future we can release, for example Big_Canine 2.0, Big_Feline 2.0 and so on.

I admit that as time goes by when I look at my old work, I usually go "oooh that could have been done better" or "Man, so many mistakes here, wish I could just adjust this, or this and this"

So I thought this poll with two answers would give me a better picture what you would feel up too. Commenting is also welcome here so don't shy away from that too.

You will have to most certainly rearange decals and some masks if so if old mesh gets and update, yes. - Dogson

Does making changes on the old meshes "break" existing character presets? If not I feel it's the best choice to prevent cluttering since having multiple versions of the same mesh may cause confusion especially if visible changes are small

SkullKidDanzen

Either way, I love the dedication you put towards improvements. I can't wait for what's next

New meshes. Keep old. Changing the name of old head models shouldnt be an issue right? (RIGHT?!). Although, eventually I hope there will be an easier way to navigate the boxes of options. Masks are already filling my mask texture choice by x3 (RGB). I could see the Head List growing exponentially that way if we are keeping the old ones too.

Separate, updated models will be better in my opinion. Some old models still looks good, and any changes of the base models only makes mess in our works XD

I feel like updating legacy heads would end up ruining a lot of older characters who have decals n stuff on that area, better to start fresh imo

VirusHunter

I’d say keep the legacy ones as separate meshes, helps with maintaining backwards compatibility to older characters that might not have anyone around to update them anymore and the old stuff just might serve as a better base for some types of custom offset project. A compromise would be hiding the legacy models behind a toggle setting somewhere if you want people to primarily use the new and improved versions.

I look forward to any kind of update!!
