The part not really shown in the anime is the ecitement of the death knight killing those people. He was waiting for them to start fleeing and then he would kill them instantly, playing around with them. So them turning around was basically an invitation for the death knight to kill them.

I like how you pause perfectly at the moment Ainz says he's going to "silence those girls" and you assume he's going to kill them, but then the next sentence he says he's actually going to use memory-wiping magic. But let's be honest, we all thought that too. You're correct, he's refraining from using his revival item to not cause an up-rise, and he has been teleported to a different world. Join the dark side.

2020-07-16 01:07:53 +0000 UTCAinz still has feelings/emotions, although if he gets too emotional, his emotions get forcibly suppressed. Most likely due to his racial trait. The same goes for his being able to kill so casually. Since this is not a game anymore, and actually a real world, he has become an actual skeleton(not disclosing his actual race yet because spoilers... sorta.) Undead in this world are humanities enemy, so his mentality has been greatly influenced by his race change. Also, this is a new reality, completely separate from yggdrasil (the game), although it functions on the same principals. So a big part of these early episodes is him trying to figure out how the game mechanics translate into this new reality he has found himself in.
