2025-02-13 00:06:29 +0000 UTCi cannot stress enough that if you don't like pain, you want to get the root canal done. i just had to have one last week, the pain before that had been awful for literal months unless i was super careful about the way i was eating. after the root canal? the numbness was gone after two hours max, and without even taking painkillers i only felt a TINY bit of discomfort. compared to how it felt beforehand it was nothing.

So they couldn't price in the high likelihood of fires. What was supposed to be good legislation backfired horribly

I already have difficulties breathing through my nose (fricked up septum) and when they clean with the waterdrill thingy, I feel like I'm drowning. Cause it's difficult to swallow with an open mouth, can't breath through my nose, so yeah, fantastic experience >.< Also, that movie theatre gaming experience, sounds AWESOME as heck. What a fantastic idea and thoughtful gift.

2025-01-19 11:16:48 +0000 UTCon maya talking about the dentist potentially dropping a drill down her throat, it happened to me (on new year's eve, might i add) and i had to go to the ER, but it went down into my esophagus so they got it out with an endoscopy which is not that bad bc ur sedated :D u can also aspirate it into your lungs which is not that common ! 🫶🏽 if u just swallow it and they can't get it out tho it's not the end of the world their drills are pretty small and u can just shit it out (as long as u dont shit it out sideways) 😇 fear lowkey valid but it was not that bad 🫶🏽

2025-01-18 01:47:02 +0000 UTCi know it's a bit late, but for anyone who might have their house still in danger of burning down in LA or ever in the future, the fridge is actually a pretty good place to put important things/small sentimental items. i had a former prof's house burn down last year and everything was gone but the contents of her fridge were fine. the fridge itself wasn't, but the inside was fine.

2025-01-17 18:44:25 +0000 UTCand even then the “looting” that is said to be happening isn’t even happening. people are trying to get to their BURNED homes to retrieve whatever they can after they had just a few short minutes to evacuate. during hurricane katrina, it (looting) was also used as an excuse for some horrible things that the police and etc have done especially to marginalized people after losing their homes as well 😔 yes it’s all unfortunately political 😭

The spoon has no pointed edge which is what sparks and without it, you can heat water above boiling point. Water above boiling point will instantly flash boil when moved leading to serious burns.

The dentist I went to gave me the happy gas and basically took me on a guided meditation journey where I felt nothing. So worth it to find someone who cares about people

I think both people posting that shit and people clicking on so much of it that it became prominent in the algorithm are mostly because of that. I can't blame them, it looks apocalyptic out there :( ... on the opposite side of the coping spectrum the processing-through-dark-humor people are eating good though. The memes are fire :')

He sees it as a character flaw, like you should be able to power your way out of it. That is almost as debilitating as having depression-the fact that there are still so many people who think it is a personal weakness rather than an illness. No one would say that a diabetic is weak because they can't make insulin, but a lot of people think people with depression are just weak. Frustrating.
