FIRST TIME WATCHING: Weapons

Happy Freaky Feature Friday!

I finally checked out the viral hit, Weapons and I'm honestly not really sure what I just watched...

For those who'd like to watch along with me, I rented this on Prime Video.

As always, thank you for your support here on Patreon. Until the next one, take care and stay golden :)

I think the reason Archer snapped out of it that quick maybe because he was under the spell for a short time where as the parents and the kids were under Glady's spell for however long. The kids snap out of the spell and they have no idea what happened and why they are outside staring at a dead body. Also I think the reason they went with the name "Weapons" is the whole sleeper agent where someone who is unaware they are being used just by a sound or word. I also get why people don't find the title of the movie fits the horror genre. One thing I don't hear talked much about the movie is the characters are all regular people who have their flaws. No superhero or a lead hero of the movie. Just normal people dealing with the disappearance of the children in their town.

seems like she didn’t enjoy the movie, guess I won’t need to watch her reaction to it then 🤷🏽‍♂️ I enjoyed this movie so much more on rewatches and now I really like it as a fun comedy “horror”

Hi

Harrison Kane

I laugh when something is funny, I scream when something is scary, whats the problem if I do both in 2 hours. Did we really watch so much Avengers by now that the second a director surprises us and changes the tone its immediately "off putting" and therefore bad

I like the movie -- a lot actually -- but I think Marcus' part should have been right after Archer's -- and when Paul waves for Justine and Archer to come in to Alex's house, and Justine says, "That's Paul" -- switch to Paul's part. Paul's and James' parts could have been combined into one and shortened, and then end with Alex's part.
