Added 2021-11-03 16:05:37 +0000 UTCHey guys,
This year has been a hard one, but we have made it in whatever way we had to. I have been so thankful for the support and patience that you guys have given me this year and I don't want to squander it. As I've been working on building healthier boundaries and relationship to work, I wanted to check in and see what it is you guys wants from me.
What do you think is lacking from your tiers? What kind of content of you actually want on here? What would you pay more or less for? I want to start thinking of that so that in 2022 I can have a healthy schedule that meets your needs as people who are paying for this content.
I have seen this platform grow so much, but at the core of it I want to give you quality, thoughtful content, and continue to be able to keep the lights on while doing it.
Please be honest and thank you again.
Best,
Princess Weekes <3

2021-11-08 06:03:07 +0000 UTCA book-club style thing sounds lovely! now that I'll actually have time for it since I'm graduating from undergrad in...a little over a month

2021-11-06 13:29:06 +0000 UTCI like what content you make already, and I personally think your schedule is really consistent. I don't know if you'd bee down for a book club style thing, or something to talk about what books you get into, that would be cool. Unless you're too busy to keep a book schedule, which again, totally understandable.

2021-11-05 00:13:19 +0000 UTCIt's fun to see your updates in between videos, but like others have said, I think what you are making already is the thing that motivates me to subscribe. And if you want to slow down, that makes total sense (you publish A LOT).

2021-11-04 21:17:11 +0000 UTCI kinda became a fan by way of It's Lit. So while I dig your take/analysis on film and tv, I just don't really keep up to date enough anymore with comic book stuff to really adequately receive/engage with it as a viewer. Granted, seeing how you already cover lots of literature with It's Lit, I can see why you'd be more interested in covering other material with this platform. I really enjoyed the True Crime and Lizzo videos, though. So, I guess my request is, do more videos like those that cover a broad range of media through the lens of specific social topics, artistic tropes, etc. Whatever the case- you rock!

2021-11-04 21:16:58 +0000 UTCI echo a lot of the above sentiment. I'm here so that you can afford to do more of what I found on YouTube. I don't have any "goals" for you. I just like your content.

2021-11-04 17:02:25 +0000 UTCI have read every comment above mine, and in my typical bi-pan/eNBy way... I agree with all of it. Also - I'm super happy how many folks here feel the same way I do, and they all said it way better than me! I'll just add a <3 and say ty! Keep being. You give a better voice to your content than I could ever hope. Its a privilege to support it.

2021-11-04 15:08:02 +0000 UTCI mostly sub to your patreon in order to help support you doing the kind of work you want to make! I don’t really have any requests re: videos/posts beyond wondering if you could possibly talk about your journey writing your novel, finding an agent, and the process of getting published and all that from the perspective of an author in the industry now once you’re able to do so. I loved how you talked about the publishing industry and genre politics and such in your older videos back in the day and I’m curious to know what your thoughts and experiences are now now that you’re going through the process yourself.

2021-11-04 13:54:54 +0000 UTCI don't need extra content, I just want to support the great content that you already make for youtube.

2021-11-04 11:05:13 +0000 UTCI love your content and am happy to see whatever you feel passionate about. My personal favorite content tends to revolve around sci-fi and fantasy stuff. I agree with the comments above that maintaining your mental and physical health is the most important. Thank you for all that you do. (:

2021-11-03 23:39:53 +0000 UTCPersonally, I didn't subscribe to your patreon because I wanted extra content; I had just discovered your youtube channel, which was doing some AMAZING content and from a perspective I personally hadn't seen before, and I decided I wanted to support that. All the extra content I get here is an unexpected, yet deeply appreciated, bonus! For the future, I think I'd like for you to find a schedule that works for you and allows for you to have a healthy worklife and lifestyle. I'd also appreciate if you could look into community subtitles! English is not my first language and sometimes when you speak fast or use some slang I'm not that familiar with it gets a little harder to understand. Subtitles would make my life a lot easier, and community subs means your community can help you with that!

2021-11-03 23:04:16 +0000 UTCI came here because I loved your YouTube videos and it's been more of the same with Patreon content, including movie night and Discord. Even when I don't agree with you I heavily respect you. As far as improvements, I do enjoy the "Princess Watches..." videos. I know you have shit to do outside of Patreon, but if those came semi more frequently and were more timely subject matter wise (although Dunes came at the right moment) it would be cool. Otherwise, I'm glad to be here and can't wait for my mug to come in this week.

2021-11-03 21:19:00 +0000 UTCI agree with everyone else here that I joined because I enjoy your videos and projects so much, I wanted to support a creator I get so much from. Everything else has definitely been a happy bonus. Polls or votes are fun for engagement on this specific platform, or even just sharing pics of new nerd gear or fanart you get are something....just trying to think of things other patreons I'm on do...anyway, I love your work and am just happy to vibe here with the other patrons 😎

2021-11-03 17:10:23 +0000 UTCFor what it's worth, I subscribe because I appreciate your perspective and voice on the white-dominated youtube pop culture criticism landscape. As long as you keep making videos at a rate that is healthy for you about things you find interesting enough to talk about, I will still be here.

2021-11-03 17:10:06 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed your DCU ranking so I would love to see more rankings of other nerd things. But I don’t have many demands when it comes to Patreon, I just enjoy supporting you and getting more candid and editorial moments from you.

2021-11-03 16:54:45 +0000 UTCJust wanted to say thank you for all the fantastic essays you've put out this year (The Rhinelander, Wandavision and Dune videos were my favorites!). It's incredible how much you've produced this year and even half that amount of content would be a bargain at the $5 tier, so I hope you know that if you ever needed to slow down we certainly would not feel like we're not getting what we paid for. I hope next year is a bit easier on you, and thank you again!

2021-11-03 16:30:49 +0000 UTCHonestly, I didn't have any set expectations when I started backing on Patreon. I started backing because I was watching so many of your videos on YouTube and wanted to support the continued making of cool videos. What I have enjoyed by backing is the early access to videos and the movie nights (I haven't been able to join many of them, but I think it's a fun thing to have). It has also been fun to help decide/vote on which image to use for a video (I remember that came up a few times). I feel pretty good about what I get at this level of backing. Though, if things need to change or shift to be more sustainable for you, that is of course fine! Yeah, those are my thoughts, I hope they help. Thanks for all the work you put into making engaging and informative videos!
