Just Bros version 2 - February Update

 Hey everyone! The February 2025 VN update is here!

I debated whether to release a new update this month, but while reworking Just Bros, I had so many fresh ideas that I wanted to incorporate into the earlier chapters.

So, here it is—Just Bros v2! A complete rework from the ground up.

I understand that some of you may feel frustrated about replaying the entire VN, but I promise the extensive changes will provide a fresh experience. The new updates also make it impossible to continue Just Bros v1 without breaking the game, so replaying is necessary.

Also, check out the new CG for the v2 main menu! 🎨 I originally wanted to include all the characters—like Anaconda, Kian, and more—but my computer couldn’t handle the load and kept freezing with too many models. 😅 So, this will have to do for now! Hope you guys like it

Where does this version end?

The rework is still in progress. This version covers up to Chapter 11, Part 1, where you’ll encounter the first newly added fun event. And yes, there will be more new fun scenes added into earlier chapters to make replaying more worth it!

Gameplay Changes & Romance Mechanics

• Affection gains are stricter now, so your choices matter more!
  (For example, skipping gym with Ryder to train with Rufus will significantly lower Ryder’s affection.)

• Make multiple saves if you're aiming for multiple romance options.

• For this update, the new bonus fun event at the end of Chapter 11.5 has drastically reduced requirements—but they will be raised in the next update! So now’s your best chance to unlock it.

Notable Highlights & Changes

• Character arcs are now unmissable/unskippable. Initially, I wanted to let players skip romance routes they weren’t interested in, but over time, this approach changed because:

  • Updates typically focus on one character at a time, and skipping their arc would leave players with nothing to play.

  • As more characters are introduced and the storyline becomes more intertwined, a structured progression improves the overall flow and consistency.

  • The game now leans more into a sitcom-style experience rather than a “choose who to spend time with” mechanic.

Lastly,

If you run into any issues or glitches, feel free to DM me! There are still some leftover files from v1 and future chapters that haven’t been deleted, so I’m hoping they don’t cause any problems. I’ve playtested for days to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible, but I still need your help—after all, you guys are the best playtesters!

If the old versions (especially on Android) are causing issues, please back them up if you want to keep your old save files and then delete them before downloading Just Bros Version 2.
