I wondered that too about Eren orchestrating everything to make sure he was born. His dad said something about every holder of the Attack Titan pursuing freedom, and since they can see the future memories maybe Eren had been maneuvering every single person that had the Attack Titan so that he could one day get it. Crazy to think about. Dude is a super mastermind if that’s the case

It really makes the "Bystander" episode from season 3 so much more impactful and makes this such a good ending for his character.
