The world surely must be surprised at Subaru's achievements. To the rest of the world, everyone witnessed Subaru embarrassing himself and Emilia at the Royal Capital proclaiming himself a knight and getting his ass kicked by Julius. Then a few days later, they all bear witness to Subaru - the average common person take down the White Whale. Surely that's a big deal. Of course Subaru didn't do it alone, but he participated and did quite abit. 1. He gave info on the location and time of the White Whale to gather a military force to defeat it. 2. Rode around on the ground dragon "under its nose" using himself as bait. 3. Gave support to Felis as he was healing 4. Gave rousing speech to raise moral support when the other soldiers were on the brink of despair having given up 5. Figured out the Whale's Fog ability and its ability to split itself up into three. 6. Got himself thrown under the bus by Crusch's speech to raise morale and encourage the soldiers to raise their swords again jk jk 7. Triggered the Witch's curse to grab his heart by speaking about Return by Death twice to gather the Witch's Scent on him 8. Rode Rem's Al Huma straight up to the Whale and jumped right back down to bring the Whale down closer to the ground 9. Was the one to come up with the plan above to bait the Whale closer to the ground AND to crush it with the tree Yeeea Subaru definitely deserves that recognition. And to think just a few episodes ago Subaru was about to give up on everything cos he considered himself useless. And all y'all thought he was useless too (I'll never let that down ππ)
