I grew up in parts of AZ where the route (the Mother road, which is what it was referred as). The sceneries were inspired by different locations along the real 66. A lot of it is AZ and parts of East CA along the route. The route is still there sort of. Some towns are no longer there or a few small places, and theres some towns that have become tourist attractions and old diners and gas stations etc are still hanging on due to the tourism, which this movie has really helped with the tourism The route runs from Chicago all the way to the Santa Monica Pier. And before Interstates.. it was the mother road. This movie isn't about cars.. It's about the 66.

I can rewatch this movie anytime and I have over the last 20 years. I think it is one of the most visually stunning Pixar movies, along with Finding Nemo. It was great to see it through new eyes. Thanks guys!

If I may...haha To me it felt like a cheaply put together straight to DVD or Cable sequel and not a full fledged Pixar film. It feels more like a Mater spinoff film and Mater is a great comedic sidekick but not good enough to be what essentially was the focus! BUT that's just my opinion! Glad you got something out of it! - PLD

I just realized i've watched this movie with 3 different generations of children in my family lol My cousin in theaters the year it came out when he was 6 (I was 17) then years later with my little brother when he was 4/5 and then years later again with my nephew when he was between the ages of 3 and 6 (he would rewatch it over and over again) so I can confidently say that Cars is a movie I know by heart and I have such a love for it! β€οΈβ€οΈ Can't wait to watch with BJ and LJ!....... I still chuckle saying "BJ" I'm sorry it just goes to show my maturity level and currenty it's back in highschool apparently π ππ€£π€£π€£
Edit: That "he did what in his cup?!" Joke was ALWAYS my favourite of the film π€£π€£β€οΈ

personally actually one of my favorite Disney Pixar movies of all time no matter what anyone says, but the third one is actually my go to tbh, but it is definitely Over-Hated
