SIN CITY - Watch Along (Update)

YES please do A Dame to Kill For. Several of the cast from the original reprise their roles, including Mickey Rourke, who you guys loved. While it's not a perfect narrative, and the different stories don't connect as neatly as you'd hope, Sin City is still a great movie and narrative, connected by tone and theme, rather than strictly by plot. It's also one of very few hyper stylized movies like this. The few I can think of are 300, Immortals, Speed Racer, Enter the Void, Mandy, Fury Road, and a few others. It goes to the point that it's style over substance, yet there is a great amount of substance as well, while the style is just next level. I'd love for you guys to react to something like Speed Racer or Immortals or Enter the Void, especially when you look at the visuals and cinematography. I hope your foray with Sin City will either lead to that, or lead to more noir movies, like I commented on The Crow , I think checking out Dark City or Alphaville would be super awesome.

I had honestly forgotten about this movie! My uncle took me to see this in theaters when I was 16 and I honestly had no interest but he loved the comics and thusly guilted me into going with him because he didn't want to go alone and I can honestly say I didn't follow anything in it had no clue what I was watching I was very much bothered by the black and white film motif and constant narrative and I didn't enjoy the bouncing between the different stories so I never had a desire to watch it again but that was 20 yrs ago so I'm gonna go into this with a very open mind because the Kayla in the present is not the Kayla of the past so my movie tastes have grown, changed and broadened immensely (with your help on that front) so I'm ready to get into this and give it another go and I will BRB lol P.S A great Josh Hartnett film I just recently watched for the first time was "Bunraku" that was great fun! Great castings too! Definitely worth a watch for anyone that hasn't seen it πŸ˜πŸ‘β€οΈ
