The Celebrimbor/ Sauron story is amazing and tbh I can forgive the faults elsewhere because they gave us this amazing story. I just hope they land the last chapter of that story next week heartbreaking as I expect it will be💔.

The Reel Rejects

As Greg had mentioned, the editing felt off, almost as if everything was just separated up too much. It flipped between action & drama sequences all throughout the episode and just when you want to see more continuous action, it flips back to the drama side. One of my other gripes are the amount of scenes that took place in the middle of the battle that felt like a safe zone, they were just having conversations and talking without any risk, no risk of being hit by a sword or arrows flying at them. Also scenes where they were talking during battle and the clashing of the swords in the background almost mute to allow the characters to have a clear conversation, almost immersion breaking. What of that scene that showed around 20-30 Elves standing toward the end, during that sequence, look in the background, where hundreds more Elves just suddenly appear lol. Music queues that seem too hopeful and almost make the scene feel predictable, Season 1's music was great, but Season 2 feels more like a copy & paste of that music without any real innovation or change. The Nampat theme that is just being recycled whenever the orcs & Adar are on screen is just boring, surely there's more evil themes you can think of. I enjoy the show, but there are too many things that I just wish were better. This season had a more positive direction overall compared to S1, but they skimped out on the action. Week by week, I watch the episode first by myself, then with you guys, then with Blind Wave then with Previewd, the differences between reactions show that the impressions are more or less the same across the board, and that's kind of how I feel as well. Looking forward to the finale next week, there are scenes from the trailers that we definitely haven't seen yet and I'm just piecing them together in my mind, but I won't say anything. There are too many story lines to tie up this season, so I think it will be more of a projection toward Season 3. Ultimately, next episode I think Sauron will re-obtain the 9 rings from Galadriel, but we'll have to see.
