Rando Studies

This is not public even though it's SFW.

 Oh.

Here's what else I've been doing to try and make better color work.

Each panel is an 1 hour to 1 hour +3 0 minutes. The last panel was over 2 hours though... because I planned the work order poorly.

Time flies.

All were photo-referenced. Aren't paint-overs.

I wouldn't claim that everyone loves this sort of thing, but I've always loved seeing things in raw states. Seeing things in an unfinished state makes me appreciate the hard work that goes into a final product -- with all of that work hidden in a neat package. Mad respect for all you do~ <3

Thanks. Part of the reason I'm shy about sharing this material is because I'm not sure who it helps or entertains? .. But I guess it does one or other other anyway?

Snao

I always love seeing these sorts of things ; scraps, sketches, exercises, and the like. Part of the reason I enjoy following you via this platform. I think these look great! Thank you for sharing!

Thank

Pretty!

The desert is not to be underrated

Snao

I think these are really nice, I vibe with the first one the most.

froggytoad

I havent seen Waiting for Godot. The reference source for that was really really difficult to find due to 3rd party reposting, and the only information (which can be wrong..... there is a lot of conflicting information attached to it...) is it might be from the "Sosuvai Desert in Namibia"

Snao

I can't tell if the first one is intentionally a Waiting for Godot reference or if "a dead tree in a barren landscape" is just fairly generic and I'm being too much of a theater nerd

Docperian

I was looking for forest pictures and I guess the search engine was staring at my IP address and thought I wanted to see American national parks.

I feel weird about posting studies sometimes. They feel like days old leftovers to me.

Snao

After many hours, I was almost warmed up by the last panel.

Snao

You're welcome. Painting is a relaxing, but difficult time.

The reason I didn't unlock this post is because I impulsively thought it wouldn't correctly reflect the actual contents of this patreon. The Notre Dame fire's photography looked very interesting and it happened so suddenly. The fire was an unhappy accident.

Snao

Some impressive work on these all. The second and fourth ones, both full of greenery, are especially striking.

I really like seeing studies like this. It's hard work towards better understanding. Thanks for sharing your stuff!

Roxikat

I dig the last one the most, but the spire has a smooth crispness and then good contrast I like.

NackV

Thanks for sharing these, Snao.

aabsurdity

Is that the burning spire of Notre Dame? I can see why these aren't public
