Demo will be a few more days, so sorry!
Added 2017-07-05 14:29:00 +0000 UTCThe demo will be a few more days. I'm only just learning that a few major things were changed (for the better) and I had to re-adapt almost everything to use the more-useful Game Maker Studio 2 when the compatibility scripts eventually fell apart.
Basically when you import a GMS project it converts everything with scripts. If you go in and change something without knowing that it'll fall apart.
I had scripts handling animation speed between different framerates which is now automatic so I had to get rid of those.
Animation speed within the sprite editor used to be just for preview purposes, but now it's the actual speed in game. That's more convenient, but I had it all set up in code. I need to go back through and remove that and set all the animation speeds for every sprite.
Depth became layers, so I needed to make sure every object always ends up on the right layer in any room it's put in.
Also I've been editing instances within rooms which is apparently different from editing an object normally.
Anyway, all these features are great! Unfortunately I had to get around things in the previous version of Game Maker Studio and the compatibility scripts it created when I imported didn't hold up.

2017-07-15 15:31:36 +0000 UTCThey'll run at exactly the intended rate, pretty nice! There won't be additional frames if that's what you were wondering. That's not easily accomplished with prerendered stuff.

2017-07-08 04:16:43 +0000 UTCDoes this mean the sprite animations will look different or at a different rate?
2017-07-07 15:54:45 +0000 UTCCool, looking forward to it!
