A little setback

I'd just like to let y'all know, my workstation just "died" on me and now has amnesia. This freak incident happened yesterday while I was finishing something up while on batteries. It automatically went black, and I thought it was just putting itself to sleep or something. Later, when I tried opening it, it won't get through the bios. Not really sure what's up.
The good news is, the files are safe! The bad news is, my work set up was wiped. So for the next several days whatever I'm working on will be paused while I set things up again.

Lol! I should've seen it coming. It happens every 3 or so years. I've always felt that dirty power (power outages) is my no. 1 enemy when it comes to these things. But it looks like even if you use a mobile pc, you gotta keep its batteries healthy. I suspect an unreliable battery fooled my pc thinking it was ok to prepare to shutdown or sleep but just cut the power while in the middle of the procedure!
