Update About Godhood Chronicles
Added 2019-08-17 13:28:53 +0000 UTCHey guys!
Seeing as how I'm still in content creation mode, Sharkie is experimenting in putting Godhood in an RPGMaker format while I'm busy on my side of stuff. Now I don't know what kind of Pandora's box he's going to open by putting it there (but I hope he can manage it), he would like to know if you guys are cool with with seeing the game in that format?
Initially, almost if not all the assets used will be that of what comes with RPGMaker and DLCs, so if this does work well, maybe we can switch out sprite graphics later on. So basically keep things simple first, get used to the program, then ramp up on the complexity as needed by Godhood. And availability - probably make it for the web first, then try out how to make it available to different platforms like what we have here.
Now I've no experience with RPGMaker, so I have no idea what the limitations of the engine are out of the box. As for the special scenes, there may be limitations here so I think interactivity will be "limited" - they may or may not animate, I'm not sure yet (if they can't be animated, they'll definitely be static images instead). I don't know what the performance of the game and the animations will be on a phone either.
So yeah, what do you guys think of Godhood in RPGMaker?
I'm not coding this one, but I'll be offering some guidance and reminder on code organization (lol!). And maybe assist in the integration of the animated stuff if I can help there. Special scenes may be on me, or another artist assisting like what Ukyu does.

Loved the old school RPG aspect of GC so would love to see a revival not sure on RPG maker but would like to the potential and writing behind GC come forward.
2019-08-18 01:11:53 +0000 UTCGC is a game with a lot of very good text. What I saw of RPGMaker games so far, is an in my personal taste absolutely horrible “movement“ graphic (I hate those big head graphics and actually prefer your text graphics to them), intermingled with images and very little and usually bad text. However it's quite possible that I just didn't stumble over a good game yet. So my vote would be in between, let's call it “very skeptical but willing to take a look“.
