Added 2019-05-31 19:13:43 +0000 UTCI followed a small game trail the other day through some holly branches and up the stream just a short ways where I found this beautiful opening. The tall tree's branches covered in moss tilt down the slope towards the open light, but do not block it completely. Its the perfect little window. A beautiful place to stand and capture the depth of the forest.
I think I had overlooked it because my tendency is to always run deeper into the woods. It is easy to forget that there are incredible places right on the forests edge. Places where the forest is moving outward to make wild again the tame earth, and it is there we can capture its growth.
