Remember when you do just nitrous, you are also trippin' on hypoxia. With a second full breath of anoxic mixture you will typically be 'out' in another 30 seconds and you SaO2 will be in the 60s within the first 30 seconds. Besides being a nasty gas with regard to your B vitamin metabolism, it doesn't seem to kill people due to the limited availability, that is, about a breath at a time, I suppose.

2023-06-21 01:23:29 +0000 UTCThe talk about people having a delusional kind of goal with nitrous reminds me of when I was a teenager and introduced many friends to nitrous and did it myself many times and in combinations with many drugs. We would sometimes load 3-5 chargers into a single balloon and do that which can take you really far out there (the effects peak at about 3-5 in my experience and adding more after that primarily just extends duration and also makes you blast through the nitrous way too fast). To me, there are levels of the nitrous experience that when you reach a certain level of peak effects, you will remember every single time you got to that peak before and kind of exist in your memories and the present at the same time while it feels like you’re entering this surreal singularity where your perception of space and time is coming to a single point. The closer you get to that singularity, the closer you get to this sense of “truth” regarding reality, but the thing is that this singularity is inherently unreachable (it’s probably just full anesthesia tbh). I thought it was very fun to engage with that headspace but knew there was nothing to actually be gained from the experience that meant anything in the real world. However, my friend’s girlfriend at the time, who was a bit loose with her grasp on reality and impulse control, started reaching out and yelling about trying to get this ephemeral knowledge. She started getting upset when the effects rapidly diminished and she was being pulled away from the oh so close forbidden knowledge. It freaked everyone else out a bit and it took a minute to calm her down and tell her that we knew what she was talking about but that it is not real or attainable. I don’t think she believed us, but that’s alright since we decided to not do nitrous around her anymore. I feel like if she had easy access to it and knew where to get it, she may have gotten kinda weird with it in a delusional way. Also, To give you a better understanding of why her behavior on nitrous put us on edge, a later time when she was on shrooms she peed on my friends (her boyfriends) floor through her pants while at his parents house. Afterwards she was upset that he was annoyed and stressed by that situation and talked about the experience as if there was nothing wrong with it because she felt like she was okay and that it was a cleansing experience for her. She was by no means on a heroic dose, and my friend said she was completely incomprehensible and unable to be reasoned with. She also did this on a whim without my friend giving the okay beforehand.

2023-05-19 06:32:22 +0000 UTCI like to do extensive research into Hamilton's guest. This research experience was interesting 😏
2023-05-11 19:24:29 +0000 UTCWhy does Hamilton seem concerned about long term k use ? How much do you think is bad ? I dabble maybe twice a month with small doses.

2023-04-18 08:37:18 +0000 UTCMaybe it’s because they can dissociate from their minds eye
2023-04-13 09:23:56 +0000 UTCI've made a causal observation over the years that female psychiatric patients with Borderline Personality Disorder who experience dissociative episodes and have substance use issues seem to favor ketamine over other drugs. I assume that dissociating from ketamine amongst these women is in a sense a familiar friend and is a welcome escape from their internal and external chaos that they chronically endure.
