Greeting everyone from Last Sword Miniatures,
we are Warsteel Miniatures, a small 3d-miniature-design studio from Germany, that specializes in late Medieval Miniatures. Well, to be exact, our passion is for late 15th century central Europe, and the looks of the famous armies that made it especially unsafe at that time.
We are honored, that Last Sword gives us an opportunity to talk about us and our ongoing Kickstarter-Project “Gewalthaufen Part 2”.
As you might have guessed, we design with historicity in mind and therefore research the Models we sculpt meticulously with scientific sources, like grave figurines, contemporary scriptures and paintings/drawings like from Swiss Chronicles.
Our miniatures come in the modern 28mm-scale (feet to eyes) and feature realistic or “true scale”-proportions, what makes them easy to scale upwards, to sizes like 32mm or 54mm.

One thing that is important to us is what we call combability: We wish that our miniatures can be kit-bashed and used alongside as many other brands as possible, to make even more unique characters – this goes of course for Fantasy and Sci-Fi as well as for our prime-target historical miniatures.
For that, we have modelled them the work alongside other popular brands that make late medieval miniatures; and offer most of our sculpts in two variants: 1 a body with arms or 2 a body without arms, whereas the armed ones come with open hands to insert the pikes or polearms.

So, all in all our goal is to make highly historical miniatures, that still allow you to create your own versions from it!
Right now, we are running our second campaign on kickstarter, where you can get up to 172 bodies equipped either for melee or ranged combat,150 heads and 27 polearms-weapons!
Please take a look here:

With this one, we want to expand our medieval universe by better equipped mercenaries. They were arming jackets and various degrees of the famous Gothic-plate armor-style that are equipped with daggers, swords and Messers.
With the second campaign you get:
Making it over 2556 combination-possibilities! Take a look at some examples:

Heads:

Armored Crossbowmen (SG wip):

And just for this campaign there is an additional body of a Hornblower and 3 more Wardrummers!

And if you are new to Warsteel Miniatures and want a huge army of over to 172 bodies, 150 heads, command-options and bills, you can choose to pledge to our COMBINED CAMPAIGN-PLEDGE, where you get all the contents from our first campaign as well, making it a truly huge force, to create from:
· over 135 different heads
· 99 bodies (Handgunners, Casualties Crossbowmen, Longbowmen and Command)
· 27 polearm-weapons and spears
Just take a look, at what Niels, one of our backers from the previous kickstarter-campaign did with them:

If you’re interested and printing and selling them, there are also LIFETIME-MERCHANT-Pledges for both campaign-tiers available!
The campaign is still running over a week and we have many exciting stretch goals still to be unlocked, like kneeling-poses, artillery-units like a bombard or even mounted knights, Archers or Crossbowmen:
