A hero, really. (DD4, Chapter Three, Pages 1-5)

It's CHAPTER THREE time!

There is a non-trivial number of readers who support this Patreon campaign who are waiting until the end to read it. To you, I say, first of all, "good gracious, thank you." And: I am not sure how to "protect" you from these updates, considering that I must also send them out to people who are (presumably?) reading along as we go. I'm not sure what the solution is, and so I'll leave it there, as an admission: I don't know how to solve that problem! The only one of life's problems I do not know how to solve (snicker).

When we left off, Vignelli had just arrived back in Archipoli. Upon meeting Alexandra and her family, he invited them to a ball, ostensibly to celebrate Alexandra's birthday. Alexandra — feuding with her mother and distanced from her new friend Katerina — decided that the best way to have revenge on her mother and repair her friendship would be to learn all her Proper English Lady Skills from Katerina, who just loves that sort of stuff.

And so Chapter Three begins!

And this Patreon becomes a comics-update account for the next, oh, three months or so, with four to six pages going up every week.

I'm excited. Things are going to get TENSE.

My only notes on these pages:

Reminders:

Until next week,
I remain,
as always,
an adventurer in this town,

* No, actually, I am honestly very happy to admit this.

Corrrrr that's nice stuff. As for people waiting, I dunno about anyone else but I have images turned off by default in my email so I never see anything until I manually opt in. And with this email notification, even after loading images, I only saw the first page. So maybe it's not as much of a trap as it seems? Anyway, I'm on Team Gradual Gratification, and I'm REALLY looking forward to this.

I didn’t know some people were waiting until the end! I’m reading as I go, and look forward to reading all over again, as a whole book, and noting the small changes from the first iteration. The dapple is sublime, as always.
