Added 2021-04-26 03:15:05 +0000 UTCWanted to just have a little chat with you guys about a few things. First up, a reminder to vote in this month's polls if you haven't already, they should be closing tomorrow.
Second, a bit of followup to allowing personal character submissions. From the feedback I got from people in streams and on here and such, it sounds like people really like the opportunity it provides. But looking at how the polls are turning out, I'm getting the feeling people might prefer voting for more established characters? I mean there's always a subjective bit of whether a sketch or idea is simply more interesting, or maybe I didn't do as good of a job on the poll options that are losing vs those that are winning, and that clouds the issue a little. But, uh, maybe we'll do it again sometime, maybe next time we'll skip any polls/full color work when we do a personal OCs month, and I'll just focus on doing as many sketches for as many people as possible?
Third, thinking of themes for May. Because I'm in an alliterative mood I've been throwing some ideas around like Makwa May, Mean Girls May, May'd Marian (or Maid May, for all your characters-in-maid-outfits needs). The Mean Girls are some of my camp pines characters, a clique of (as the name implies) mean girls. I'd like to draw some more of them - one of my hopes this year is to start a short comic I have scripted featuring them - but I'm not sure how well a month featuring them will go. I've had to turn down (or renegotiate with the requesters, via IMs) a few requests featuring them already. One of the ideas I wanted to play with with them is the idea of a character saving their virginity, and the audience feeling about as pent up as their boyfriends might be, as the character's lewd levels are limited to nudes or certain non-penetrative acts until some unknown point in the future when they finally give it up.
So, a three part question related to the third bullet point here. First, how would you feel about having to play along with the limitations on Mean Girls requests? Obviously a lot of the content here is lewd, and I'm not sure if you guys want to tone it back for a month, or if you would enjoy the idea of trying to push their boundaries or just get some pinups going or something. Second, how do you feel about those potential ideas for themes for May? Third, are there any additional theme ideas for May you would like to suggest?

2021-04-27 03:19:48 +0000 UTCOkay like I said I had some more idea's -Mutant May ( superhero costumes or X-men related) -Mix Race May ( Pick like Kian and Liyu had a child or Liyu and Russell had a child what would the baby look like?) -Military May ( what they would look like in the military) -Memory May ( Photo or flashback of any character of their past possibly seeing Makwa's mother or their experience in camp pines -Movie May ( camp pines characters reaction the movies of their time Like Star Wars) -Mischief May ( Pranks, theft, or anything humorous by camp pines characters) Thats most what I got But I agree with Quinn if you allow Oc's it should only be Oc's and I would with only 1 Oc per patreon of $10. You choose which one to draw.

When voting, we can see what choices are already pulling ahead in the polls, so anyone voting after 2-3 pics have already established a lead is highly encouraged to only vote on which of those ones they want to see. That said, when you've got OC's vs established characters, the OC's are only going to be popular with a select few, so if you're going to do OC's I would agree that you should just sketch as many as possible.
