The Weapon Master Shall Never Die Bare-Handed in Genshin Impact [455]

“No problem!” Lumine immediately agreed without hesitation. “My Serenitea Pot is huge and can fit plenty more people. You’re absolutely welcome, Jean!”

“That’s great!” Paimon chirped happily. “With Jean joining us, we’ll have nothing to worry about!”

Barbara also spoke up softly, “Si—Acting Grand Master Jean suggested that I come too. While I’d prefer not to trouble you all, if anyone needs healing along the way, I’ll be able to help quickly.”

“Perfect! Our ideal team!” Lumine declared energetically.

Klee and I are the DPS, Barbara handles support, Jean roams and covers us, and Jia Changjiang tackles anything 1v1… The ultimate team comp!

“Jean and Sister Barbara are so kind!” Klee cheered. “Klee promises to be good!”

Jean knelt gently, ruffling Klee’s hair softly, saying, “Remember to keep your promise this time, alright, Klee?”

Standing back up, Jean continued, “Lisa gave me a pouch as well, instructing me to only open it after reaching the islands… Perhaps it contains something useful in an emergency.”

“A secret plan, hmm?” Jia Changjiang said curiously.

“Hehehehe…” Lumine eyed Jean and Barbara mischievously, her mind clearly scheming something else entirely.

After all, yesterday she and Marjorie had prepared quite a few summer outfits… each more daring than the last.

She’d even accurately guessed the sizes herself—she had quite the talent for estimation, with an error margin no more than two units.

“Well then, Acting Grand Master Jean, it’s time to show you the method we prepared for getting to the archipelago!” Lumine declared confidently. “Let’s go! To Windrise!”

“Hm?”

Jean tilted her head, slightly curious.

That curiosity swiftly transformed into shock when she arrived at Windrise.

“Oh, you’re all here~” Venti called cheerfully from atop the statue at Windrise, yawning lightly. “I thought you’d take longer—I’ve already been waiting for a while.”

“Lord… Venti?” Jean was stunned. “Could the method you mentioned be…”

“That’s right!” Venti casually took out his lyre, smiling brightly. “Jia Changjiang already convinced Dvalin to help. All I need to do is call him.”

As he spoke, Venti’s fingers began to gracefully dance across the strings, producing a lovely, melodious tune.

“D-Dvalin?” Barbara gasped, completely astonished. “You mean the Guardian of the East Wind?”

“Exactly!” Lumine wrapped her arms around Barbara from behind, whispering playfully into her ear. “We’re actually really good friends with Dvalin, you know. We played a huge role in resolving the Stormterror crisis.”

“B-but he’s the Guardian of the East Wind!” Barbara, as a devoted follower of Barbatos, looked utterly bewildered and slightly horrified.

“Don’t worry, Barbara,” Jia Changjiang reassured gently, seeing her distress. “You’ve probably heard about our involvement in calming Stormterror. We became friends with Dvalin back then.”

“But riding on the Guardian of the East Wind to the Golden Apple Archipelago…” Barbara nervously shook her twintails. “I-I’m still nervous!”

Barbara clasped her hands and quietly began praying, “Lord Barbatos, please forgive Barbara’s actions…”

Her earnest prayers caused everyone around her to exchange strange glances.

After all, Barbara was the only one present who didn’t know Venti’s true identity as Barbatos himself.

She was unknowingly praying directly in front of the very Archon she worshipped.

They couldn’t help but silently reassure her in their hearts:

Don’t worry, Barbara—this time, Barbatos won’t just forgive you. In fact, Barbatos himself is the one who personally summoned Dvalin for you to ride to the islands!

Under Barbara’s astonished gaze, a massive dragon descended from the direction of Stormterror’s Lair, landing gracefully nearby and looking toward Jia Changjiang and Lumine with a faintly resentful stare.

“I can’t believe this is really happening…” Barbara murmured, continuing her prayers fervently.

Once everyone climbed onto Dvalin’s back, Jia Changjiang paused for a moment and looked down at Venti, extending his hand:

“Venti, aren’t you coming with us?”

He smiled invitingly, “A quest to defeat a great evil… sounds like something I should invite the world’s greatest bard along for, no?”

“Hmm…” Venti considered briefly, then smiled slyly. “Sure, but not just yet.”

He placed a finger gently to his lips. “Someone else might still want to visit these islands. If I go now, they’ll miss out.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll come find you later,” Venti assured him warmly.

“Alright,” Jia Changjiang withdrew his hand with a nod. “I’ll wait for you then.”

“Dvalin! Let’s go!” Lumine shouted excitedly, holding Klee tightly near Dvalin’s head.

“Yeah! Let’s go!” Klee cheered, her eyes sparkling.

“Wait for me!” Paimon quickly dove into Jia Changjiang’s arms. Given her small stature, being blown away by the wind was a legitimate worry. Sitting snugly with Jia Changjiang was much safer.

“Roar!”

With a mighty flap of his wings, Dvalin soared up from Windrise, swiftly heading toward Mondstadt’s open seas.

“Wow! So high! So windy!” Klee exclaimed, fascinated by the rapidly shrinking landscape below. She curiously reached out to feel the wind rushing past.

Peering down at the tiny form of Starsnatch Cliff far below, she couldn’t help wondering:

If Klee dropped a bomb from here… what would happen?

Her little hands itched with excitement.

“We’re going on an adventure!” Lumine shouted joyfully, hugging Klee close.

“Adventure!” Klee repeated gleefully, hugging Dodoco tightly. But she quickly corrected herself: “Wait… Klee must defeat Dodo-King first. After that, we’ll play as much as we want!”

“We’re flying so fast! Truly the Guardian of the East Wind…” Barbara murmured in amazement, her eyes wide with awe.

After flying for quite some time, a thick mist finally appeared in the distance ahead.

“We’re almost there!” Jia Changjiang perked up, spotting the thick fog ahead.

Dvalin spoke softly as they approached the mist-covered islands, “I’ll leave once I drop you off. I cannot accompany you further. Please, be careful.”

After circling briefly, Dvalin dove gracefully into the mist, landing gently on a small island enveloped in dense fog.

Once everyone safely disembarked, Dvalin immediately spread his wings, swiftly disappearing into the clouds once more.

“We made it!” Lumine shouted happily, stretching her arms wide with excitement. “Yaaay!!”
