Arknights: I Became a Mobile City, but It’s a Lobotomy City [51]
Added 2025-06-29 10:05:35 +0000 UTCWhen the golden light faded, Obsidian began tallying up the spoils from his thirty gacha pulls.
[Spindle x75]
As expected, another huge pile of spindles appeared. Obsidian glanced at them briefly, then tossed them into a pile without another thought.
[Neurophin x5]
Good stuff; Obsidian pocketed it carefully.
[Lesser Novo Fabric x1 (Two-Lamp)]
Fabric crafted by the Meat Festival? If memory served, [Novo Fabric] was known for its damage reduction capabilities… Although lesser-grade, as a Two-Lamp rarity item, it was undoubtedly worth the price of admission.
[Moonstone Powder 10g x3 (Two-Lamp)]
A full 30 grams of moonstone powder—this was unexpectedly perfect for Obsidian's current needs. It could significantly reduce mental damage. Applying just a bit of it to clothing made from the [Lesser Novo Fabric] would drastically enhance its psychic defense.
That took care of the defensive side of his new persona.
This is almost too convenient… Now all he needed was offensive capability.
Obsidian’s mind flashed briefly with this thought before he turned his attention to the final six items.
[Dimensional Bag x3 (Two-Lamp)]
Excellent gear. Apart from equipping the new persona, he could spare one each for Pioneer and Heal. These bags were roughly equivalent to storage rings—though not as high-end as [Dimensional Gloves], they were still perfectly functional.
However, the next item left him momentarily stunned. The object lying before him was unexpected enough to leave him mildly shaken.
Something… belonging to an Aberration.
[Music Box Note x1 (Two-Lamp)]
[Accessory]
[Equipping this accessory rapidly drains sanity, proportionally increasing strength.]
"Even something like this can pop up… This didn't exist originally. Rather, it feels like something straight out of the Library era, from a [Singing Machine Aberration] page effect…"
Obsidian pondered briefly, carefully stashing it away. It was, after all, another potential power boost, albeit a risky one.
Steadying himself, Obsidian turned his gaze to the final two items—both freshly drawn, and both of Three-Lamp rarity.
[Technique · Four Trigrams (Three-Lamp)]
[Contains detailed training methods for Four Trigrams skills. Allows a designated individual to instantly master them. Additionally, provides special crafting techniques for weapons and gear to support Four Trigrams skills.]
At the sight of this, Obsidian sprang to his feet, mouth agape.
This… he was genuinely speechless.
Was my luck always this absurd?
The freshly-created persona could immediately wield a signature skill of the Hana Association. Finally, the problem of equipping his Hana-aligned persona with proper weapons and armor had a solution—though a quick scan told him the City’s industrial infrastructure and resources wouldn’t support mass production any time soon.
Still, at least one suit of armor crafted from the [Lesser Novo Fabric] and a weapon cobbled together from spare materials were achievable. Equipping the new persona wouldn’t be an issue.
Pure numerical pleasure from building a war god… incredible.
Feeling immensely satisfied, Obsidian eyed the last item.
[Three-Lamp Persona Extraction Ticket x1 (Three-Lamp)]
Another [Persona Extraction Ticket]? He’d seen so many it was nearly redundant… Hold on a second—what rarity?!
Three-Lamp Persona?!
Momentarily stunned, Obsidian stared at the gleaming, gold-bordered ticket in disbelief before rapidly processing the possibilities.
He exhaled slowly, gazing intently at the fractal-like patterns shimmering across the ticket’s surface.
“Didn’t expect something like this at this stage… Now I’ve got to figure out who to give my first Three-Lamp Persona to…”
Obsidian thoughtfully stroked his chin, carefully weighing his options.
Texas? But what would her Three-Lamp Persona be? Thumb? Middle Finger? Probably inappropriate—he certainly didn’t need another gang-aligned persona muddying things further.
Laurentina? She’d likely become a Ringfinger persona—again, not ideal for now.
Who else then…?
Suddenly, clarity struck him. Obsidian stood abruptly, clapping his hands together, a sudden realization brightening his expression.
“Why am I overcomplicating this?”
“My first Three-Lamp Persona… Why don’t I just use it myself?”
“Individual combat strength is exactly what I’m missing right now… If I have a Three-Lamp Persona, wouldn’t everything become much simpler?”
In that instant, Obsidian grew solemn. Without hesitation, he summoned the vessel he had prepared earlier, transferring a portion of his consciousness into it. Moments later, the young man with blue hair and brown eyes opened his eyes, brimming with vitality.
“Then, the name shall be… Hai.”
---
Hai opened his eyes, gazing quietly at the [Three-Lamp Persona Extraction Ticket] in his hand. With a deep breath, he approached the [Well] and carefully dropped the ticket into its depths.
In an instant, Hai’s consciousness was utterly captivated, locked onto the [Well’s] golden glow. Even more unsettlingly, not just Hai’s consciousness…
…but every iteration of Obsidian’s consciousness across all his personas felt an intense pull toward that possibility.
Three seconds. For three full seconds, every persona—Pioneer, Heal, Hai, Obsidian himself, and even several K Corp employees—was transfixed.
Instinctively and urgently, these consciousnesses probed toward the ticket’s possibility, desperately seeking the Persona they needed, until at last, it was retrieved from the depths.
When their minds snapped back to reality, Obsidian felt a wave of fear.
“I really can’t afford to casually pull Personas for myself in the future… But now it seems my Personas might be compatible across most of my vessels.”
Hai murmured to himself, eyes flickering. Brushing the thought aside, he finally looked down at the Persona Card in his hand.
And his pupils shrank.
Clear letters were etched unmistakably upon the card:
[Hana Association Southern Branch Fixer · Obsidian/Hai]
At that very moment, Hai set down the Persona Card, his mind wholly consumed by a single pressing thought:
Where the hell did I put all my spindles?
I have to achieve [Persona Synchronization] immediately!

T/N: damn... hana association!
