Rob Swift "La Vie En Rose" Ukulele Cover

Hello friends,

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks lessons, and that you're getting plenty of practice in the new year. Today I worked out a ukulele cover of the Edith Piaf classic "La Vie En Rose" which I plan to teach a lesson on in the new year. One of my new years resolutions is to get back to teaching the uke, so if you have any request, let me hear them in the comments section below. Thanks, I hope you enjoy this recording! -Rob

P.S I attached my rough chord sheet, and will add chord diagrams shortly.

Right on Rob! Bringing back the uke tutorials :) Here is a few songs that may be interesting to do: 1) Bruce Springsteen - I'm on Fire 2) John Mayer - The Heart of Life 3) Matthew Sweet - Time Capsule 4) Paul Simon - Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes 5) City and Colour - Body in a Box 6) Counting Crows - Accidentally in Love

I loved your arrangement Bob and my wife is from France and loves everything Edith ever did. I don't suppose there is a 6 string version hidden away in your bag of tricks?

Beautiful, Rob. I'm so happy for more uke lessons as I have my father's '59 soprano Martin that I've always wanted to be able to play. Ah, nostalgia is lovely.

Wow, how did you get that sound from your uke, man ? Amazing cover

That’s a Córdoba 20TM-CE, it’s a fairly inexpensive acoustic electric. Sounds and feels pretty descent.

Thanks for the intro lesson. I just brought home a new Leho yesterday. Would love a lesson on Neil Young’s Tumbleweed from Storytone (solo version)

What kind of Uke is that?

Thank you Blair, glad you enjoyed it. I find this to be a very soothing tune to perform. Expect the lesson to be added within the next few days. Best. -Rob

nicely done !! Edith Piaf would be proud
