Season 5 can be viewed as it’s own stand alone one season series within the Breaking Bad universe. There is SOOOOOOO much that is left to become unraveled 😬🤯 This season being 16 episodes long, when it had originally premiered, Vince Gilligan decided to cut season 5 into two separate parts. After episode 8, we had to wait for a little over a year for the remaining 8 episodes to premiere and let me tell you…. you will see the greatest hour in television history sometime within those last eight episodes 😏 with a perfectly balanced well written ending for the series!!!

2022-01-29 04:13:03 +0000 UTCYou're not wrong to hate Walt at this point. I won't say if it gets better or worse throughout this season, but he's pretty gross at the moment. Vince Gilligan did say he was surprised how much people rationalized their defenses of Walt. He says he did "too good" of a job of making him a sympathetic character in the beginning, and keeping his motivation about the family when it worked against his own interest -- like in "Mas" (S3E5), turning down Gus even after being shown the superlab (... before Gus' speech). I really can't say more. But, suffice to say, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season with you gals to see your reaction to just... all of it :)

And they wanted to see how Walt overcomes all of his problems and stops being a “weak man”. Plus, he has one of the best character evolution of all time
