Suggestions - What are the things your Sims still need after all these years?

The Sims 4 is more than 10 years old now (I won't even mention Sims 3 age! ;)), and there's tons of CC makers and expansion/game/objects packs, so finding what you want for your Sims is probably easier and easier!
I'm still trying to offer you and your Sims things that you didn't even know you could need, but, after all these years, is there stuff you still don't find? Have you given up a project because you couldn't find the CC for it? Is there a building/shop/whatever you wanted for your town but where essential stuff is missing? Is there a TV/Netflix serie/movie that you'd like to play with Sims but, here again, lack of objects to accomplish that project?
Suggestions and links to pictures are more than welcome in the comments!

(Don't worry, I'm not yet short of ideas, and I still haven't completed my "to-do" list, so if you don't have any suggestions, it doesn't mean I'm going to give up the Sims! Ahaha!!)

Edit: May 30: I'm unpinning the post to pin the one about my server being down, but I'll re-pin it once the problem is solved!
Edit 2: Wow, unpinning it made it plunge so far in the timeline that I repinned it!

I've seen some of these but I couldn't say where (part of a mod, maybe?) I'll have to check if I find many variations of that in Sims 3 and Sims 4, and if I can add my own stuff, I will! :)

Around the Sims

Oh yes! I could definitively use that in my game too! I don't know how to make false ceiling tiles that wouldn't be a bother to install though... But I'm adding this to my list and check how I can make that easy to use.

Around the Sims

Aww, yes! My game is contemporary so I'm usually not good at making historical items (I selfishly mesh what I can use in my own game!), but I'd love to make vintage toys for example. Or stuff that I could have in an antic shop (so maybe not really a sink or a fridge?) Adding on my list to make my best to conciliate our both needs! ;)

Around the Sims

Indeed wheelchairs have been requested another time at least, so I think I'll make a third part (not immediately though) with these items! :)

Around the Sims

Could we have more hospital stuff please? Hospital gurnies, hospital signs like emergency pharmacy intensive care etc wheelchairs and the bedside entertainment units crutches maybe payphones bedpans syringes. Fire alarm manual call points, wall sounders ceiling smoke alarms fire extinguishers

Aaron Bennett

Historical items! I love your aga stove and always use it in my historical gameplays. Would love more items such as a sink, fridge, kids toys etc

Dominique

Feminine bathroom clutter - specifically sanitary products! Haven't been able to find any anywhere, but I'm not the world's best searcher. Also, I'd love some classic terry towelling nappies - the square ones - on a clothesline. Preferably with some stain marks on some of them, that I can recolour. Yes, I like doing grunge! For Sims 3, please...

Kate Kelsall

I don't remember any walls floors and ceilings that you've made, but if that's something that you can do I've noticed a lack of dropped/false ceiling tiles and lights. I think it fits in with your content well since you make a lot of stuff for commercial lots. I would love a set of office/commercial building ceiling tiles including 1x2 fluorescent lighting panels, diffuser panel (look up dropped ceiling diffuser panel and you'll see what I mean) This would have a lot of utility because it could go literally anywhere for trying to recreate a realistic location. Schools, offices, rec centers, libraries, restaurants etc, Also, since you made a train station set I think an airport set and TSA airport security checkpoint stuff would be really cool

awesomehippos

Safety Gates for stairs would be great. And if they already exist, please tell me were. Thank you for all the hard work. I love all of your CC and Mods!!!!!

Starr Pelosi

What has always prevented me from making these is the vertex/poly count. It would be OK for boxes, like chewing-gum & cigarettes, and yet, it could still be high, but with anything else, bags, bottles, cones, the polycount gets crazy quickly. But I'll have to retry again (I wanted to make such things for my grocery, long time ago and gave up because of polycount).

Around the Sims

Ooh, have you ever thought about doing a set for a convenience store counter? Like displays for behind the counter of products like booze, cigarettes and batteries, small counter-top stands with chewing gum, lottery tickets, scratch cards, lighters, etc. One really cool thing to have would be a display of confectionary like you see at the counter in stores like this, such as in these pictures: https://cliqpos.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/171-Front-Counter-5.jpg https://www.shopfittingsuppliesonline.com/media/catalog/category/9ac329dc-8708-4550-a370-96376d701f00.jpg https://www.uniwebinc.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/168-Front-Checkout-2-USE-INSTEAD-OF-BURTS-BEES-scaled.jpg Maybe the confectionary display could be a long, slim deco object with no footprint that can be placed in front of a counter so that Sim interacting with a vendor can use a register as normal? We have these at basically every corner shop in the UK (and usually at the customer service desks at our supermarkets too) so my shops always feel a bit empty without them. They also sometimes have this style of ice cream chest freezer, I don't think I've ever seen them made for TS3 or TS4 but I could be wrong: https://d2dyh47stel7w4.cloudfront.net/Pictures/480xany/4/5/8/159458_icecreamfreezer_londishemingbrough_1762.jpg

Amy Murphy

Next set will be actually around hospital, but I'm all for more thematic clutter, it's good that you listed all the things you'd need, and I think it can be done with another Patreon's suggestions. So, definitively yes! Not immediately though (well, it's never immediate anyway! :D), as hospital updates are coming, but yes! :)

Around the Sims

Hi! I love your medicine and hospital medical clutter and I was wondering if you would be interested in creating a mini chronic illness themed set focused on daily home care including decor items like a nebulizer machine, cpap machine, shower chair, folded heated blanket and a cc bracelet meant to look like the colorful gauze tape applied after getting lab work.

simawaywithme

Ahaha, but who uses an old computer screen for trash? :D That's so crazy that I like the idea, of course! The phone lamp is gorgeous (probably too much for the idea I have of that set, but definitively saved just to be done as lamp because I'd love it in RL actually!!!) I have a low-tech project that could totally work with that, I think... On my list!

Around the Sims

Awww, I'm sorry, but this I couldn't do it; it requires animations and stuff I really don't know. Mine can only be decorative, or unanimated! :'(

Around the Sims

Sadly, I'm not good at drawing vehicles, but I'll see if I can do something from sims 3 vehicles. For the dispatch, you can use the Computing set, the multiple screens include a variation with security cameras. I can do a more "circular" set-up, but in the meanwhile, it will help! :) https://aroundthesims3.com/objects/room_office_15.shtml https://aroundthesims4.com/objects/room_office_04.shtml

OMG, you're a queen, Megan! So many great ideas there!!!!! <3 <3 Thank you!!!

Around the Sims

I had an idea earlier this week for something I wanted to do in my game but I've hit a bit of a brick wall. Basically I want to make a version of my fire lookout that operates as a base for a household of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world, but while there are plenty of broken/dirty things in the game to give it that Fallout-ish aesthetic, there aren't really a lot of things that look like they've been salvaged/repurposed into useful objects for survival like cooking, bathing, gardening, radio communications, etc. Like tools, weapons, gadgets or large equipment that looks like it's been made out of scrap from the pre-apocalypse modern world. Even if it was just decorative stuff! Cardboard boxes stuffed with looted junk or messy piles of salvaged junk would also be really cool. Maybe the stuff could also be useful for Sims who do like weird upcycle DIY and crafting, too. https://images.interestingengineering.com/img/iea/zDOZmNNEwk/reuse-old-stuff-mac-mailboxes.jpg https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/17240411061215460/ https://dk.pinterest.com/pin/66428163237662987/ https://i.ytimg.com/vi/vsFTEYgwbuk/maxresdefault.jpg https://media.istockphoto.com/id/171242093/photo/obsolete-electronics.jpg?s=612x612&w=0&k=20&c=aYPMkSb42rVRlv5Bhjmu8lEZtR6ogsh7Xj7gr1ePTmI=

hello! i made a drive folder of ideas that would be beneficial in game mostly infant and toddler related https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1DfYFFf8kcwmdTNnz_Lq2_DdutbMQFCmP?usp=sharing

Yes, more perfumes! I'll sure make some of these! :)

Around the Sims

I would love more women and men perfumes/colognes. It would be nice to see some of my personal favs in game such as Kayali, Tom Ford ( men and women ) , Phlur, Jo Malone ( men and women ), Fenty, Nomade by Chloe, YSL Libre and Mon Paris, Viktor&Rolf Good Fortune and Flowerbomb, Creed Aventus, Replica by Maison Margiela etc. :-)

Simplicitee

Me again, sorry if i am being over the top... I just keep thinking of Ideas ahahah... if it is annoying I'll stop sharing :-) With the Moving out/Moving in set https://aroundthesims3.com/objects/room_other_16.shtml#gsc.tab=0 I'd love a sign that can be " For sale", "For Rent"Open house", and "SOLD", on it. You could Morph it with the ATS3-object-garagesale-board one or the wedding easel if that helps make it easier! and a Welcome rug Thank you for considering <3

There's a tattoo parlor set for ATS3 and ATS4 already, don't know if you've already seen it: https://aroundthesims3.com/objects/room_downtown_69.shtml#gsc.tab=0 https://aroundthesims.tumblr.com/post/190181848403/around-the-sims-4-tattoo-parlor-i-needed-a

Amy Murphy

I absolutely love all of these ideas, I'd definitely like to see these too. ❤️

Amy Murphy

Couple of things I'd really really love for my game (Sims 3 player here). 1) Deco Lawn Mowers. I love adding ornamentation to my sims' yards like toys left outside accidentally, bikes and scooters dropped on the front porch, etc. and would really like to see an abandoned lawn mower or two. 2) Storybook Statues. This is very self-indulgent, but as a child there was a park I visited often that had these beautiful large sculptures of various Mother Goose and other storybook characters and I just adored them. I would love to see this recreated in The Sims to add some flavor to an outdoor museum/art gallery/children's park area. 3) Sims 3 Roller Coaster > Train. I don't know if this is possible at all! I have always wanted to use the roller coaster set as a child's train ride, but the cars look undecidedly untrain-like. This would be so awesome for a fall festival or a little Christmas village running through a North Pole lot. (In the US in the 90's it was very common to find these train rides inside malls!)

S.H. Brooks

I have been trying to find good CC to make a really neat tattoo parlor with NO luck!

Carlie Guadagnolo

Ahaha, one of your requests is actually what I'm working on right now! :))) I'm adding the other ones to my list! -thank you so much for your kind words!! <3

Around the Sims

Honestly, most of my game buy/build cc is yours at this point (comfort, variety and safety is what is behind that), but if I had to think thoughts, I’d wanna see more on stuff like: - A bookstore set, kinda like ATS3-Mlys-object-exhibition-book-standing/laying but with the original TS3 book covers (they’re way nicer than ts4 and more inmersive imo), genre type decals tags like "romance" "poetry", generic ads, (not too specific for those, more like for all ofb situations) - A little barbershop set with grooming products (facial hair care, h&s men shampoo types, hairstyle posters for guys, etc). More urban paraphernalia: - Wall flag poles (Dhal’s default replacements for EA store worlds are great for example, but only one at a time, same with PBS’s Boroughsburg (Usa) flag) - Loose letters to build your own sign (like those TS4’s decals that shine?) - Awnings with Simlish text like “Barber Shop”, “Pet Shop”, “Laundry" ;D - Subway-inspired stuff: entrances, station names, signs, kinda like your last trains set, but taking cues definitely from NYC subway or London underground.

Josh Requena

Oh, you know, I already thought about that because it's something I use in game, but what stopped me was: "to how many numbers I go, or even what kind of numbers?" I mean from 1 to 25, from 400 to 450? or do I use "fake" numbers, with a simlish font, so we can't read numbers? If you have an opinion on the matter, I'd be happy to read it!

Around the Sims

There's indeed one in the Sims 4, that I have converted for Sims 3, but which is poor quality (too small textures). A new one would be welcome! :)

Around the Sims

Awwwwwww, thank you, that's the sweetest thing to read!! <3

Also, just wanted to give you a shout Out for continuing to give us content all these years! And all the work behind the scenes like of running the site, dealing with the server's, making the content, replying to emails, messages etc and I am sure there is more I can't fathom. You are amazing 😍🙏

Hollie - simply sims

For the Sims hospital you have done Id love to see an ambulance (with deco function)

Hollie - simply sims

I have another super simple request if you are making a list of ideas. I think you had made it before, but I can't find it. I'm trying to build a roller-skating indoor rink and would love a mod that removes everything but the floor and some deco skates.

Darksyngr

Hello. I would love some recolors of the metal bits on the glass roofs and walls. I rarely get to use them because the options are kind of lacking. A black, wood, gold, and bronze options would be great. I would also love more pool decor such as a diving boards/slides even if it is just deco.

Darksyngr

Those would be great with new animations or functions, and this is beyond my skills. But as deco objects, or using in-game functions, that's something I could make. I must say I feel now like an urgent need to have a shoe-maker in my town! Thank you for the suggestions!

Around the Sims

ooooooh, yes, more signs!! I had a second part of the shop signs as WIP, I need to get back to it! Car garage, yes, making stuff for garage was on my list but a Sims 4 object pack (I don't even remember its name, there's just too many packs all the time!) made me think it wasn't that necessary now. Do you play Sims 3 or Sims 4?

Around the Sims

Thank you! Yeah, actually, the bank was requested at the same time as the post office; I'm a bit short of ideas of what to put in that don't look like stuff made for the post office or even the station, but it's still on my list, and I'll shake my head for an heavy brainstorming! ;D

Around the Sims

Thank you for your suggestions!!! They're absolutely still welcome (if someday, I get overwhelmed by all what I'd like to do, I'll unpin the thread, but all the time it's at the top, suggestions are welcome, and I'm doing my best to make most of them even if not all of them, and evn if, ofcourse, it demands time! :) Ashtrays are on my own to-do list, so I'm glad you asked for them, it will give the idea a higher priority! :) I made that water fountain: https://aroundthesims3.com/objects/function_appliance_big_03.shtml#gsc.tab=0 But I could make more! :) I think I already saw deco period supplies for Sims 3 years ago, but I'll check if I can add my two cents to that (I'm adding bathroom dispenser to my list; I've always wanted to make one for condoms, so bathroom dispensers there will be at some point!) :)

Around the Sims

How about some old-timey crafts like shoe-making, making butter, making cheese, a spinning wheel, a hand loom... either like in medieval times or a bit more modern. And how about Origami - assorted paper, crumpled paper, classic simple figurines like the swan, the frog etc... those things would be so cool!

Anne Elberg

I love you work and have been following you since about the Sims 2 I think. I think the content I would want to see is: - mechanic tools (stuff in like a car garage) - mall related - definitely more signs in general in simlish (stop signs, billboards)

LC

Love your content! Been a fan since the Sims 1! I was just building some community lots, and some of the venues are just for decoration. I would love to have some things to build a bank, in the same way your post office or train station sets are.

Adam Beals

Thank you as always for all the CC, my games truly wouldn't be complete without your work! As I was building today I just happened to think of a few other ideas, if you were still open to receiving them. :) I think ashtrays could be an interesting addition, like different variants for the home, some for restaurants and even larger metal/concrete ones for our public lots (I'm not a smoker... but some of my Sims are lol - I saw this great one while searching, but it's for TS2 https://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims2-sets-objects/title/public-ashtray/id/422453/ ). Maybe some more drinking fountains could be good too. I know we have a Parisian style one, but maybe a variant of the metal indoor ones or a more 'modern' version with the bottle filler? (EDIT: Just found a good example of what I'm thinking of from a TS4 mod: https://whyhellosims.tumblr.com/post/722862807945756672/whs-drinking-fountain-deco-items )? Was just thinking that they'd be nice to have in schools/gyms. And... if any of these already exist then I apologize and I need to go back through your catalogue/pick them up asap haha. Edit again (I'm so sorry lol): While looking for examples I also came across some more bathroom mods that were designed for TS4 and saw a great idea (if you were comfortable with it, of course) but period supplies... pads/tampons for we could put on the shelves at our stores/pharmacies, sanitary napkin dispensers for the public bathrooms, a loose one for a character's purse or in the bathroom, etc. There IS a modder that I believe has a mensuration mod with some of these items, but I fear their mod might conflict with a few others I'm running and am more interested in having the objects as deco (especially the bathroom dispenser). Thank you again for everything!!

R Salva

Yes, it's been requested a couple of times, so definitively yes, I will! :)

EMPRESS KAY

Aww, geez, that one, I've been wanting to make one for at least two years; each time, I think "ok, next summer, I'll make a huge themed park"... and I keep giving up because I'm limited with my skills (I don't do new animations for example). But you reactivated my wish to make something around that, even if not exactly as I'd like! (and thank you!! <3)

Around the Sims

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm adding it, maybe to the hospital thema that has been requested earlier. I see an oxygen tank (in many useful pictures), but nothing else, am I missing something?

Around the Sims

Thank you for your CC Sandy. My entire game is just ATS CC 😂. What about an adventure park? Zip lines, plumbing walls, ropes courses?

Hi sandy! I left another comment on a different post but I'm wring again here. I have a couple of specific items that my Grandma Buddy used to use in have in her apartment that I would like to re-create. She had muscular dystrophy and used a bunch of different equipment. Aww, thank you for your sweet comment!! <3 More mess is indeed on the list, especially clothing mess. I could also make a more specific male bathroom mess:honestly, I'm not sure Sims 4 camera is strong enough to zoom enough to see nail shavings, but I can give a try! (in my Sims 3 game, it's a slob girl who is supposed to run a nail saloon, so I could totally use that! :D) For the kids, I hadn'' thought redoing something as the "rugs of mess" I previously made, with toys, pens or legos cover up what I'd need, but if you have more specific needs for children mess, please suggest! :) Last, what do you call "Real Restaurants signs"?

Around the Sims

OMG, yes, I love the idea!!! I'll definitively make one!!! <3

Around the Sims

First, thank you so much for all that you do. I have tried to make cc, but I always get too frustrated. Also, I have had everything you made. I had it for Sims 3, and now I have all for Sims 4. Is this flattering working? LOL! I absolutely love your messy sets. Are you planning on doing one for children, teens, and men. I would love those, for me like razors, shaving cream, nail clippers and not to be gross but nail shavings. Along with those, how about thrown on the floor clothing. I do use your slob life stuff, but I am talking like specific clothing Items, Jeans, shirts, underwear, t-shirts, and dresses. Also I am a stickler for simlish, please make some Real Restaurant signs in Simlish. Again, thank you for everything.

Amy, sometimes, I feel like you're living in my head! Just like for your "transport" suggestion, boardgames and boxes are on my own to-do list. A game library has opened in my RL town, and I thought "OK, my Sims need that too, obviously!" :D

Around the Sims

Another one has just come up for me - boardgames and card games! I need some for my shelves in shops and at home but I'm running out of different ones to use. I appreciate that trying to make them as they're "in play" would be very time-consuming and probably hard work so even if you'd be interested in making some Simlish boardgames just in their boxes (individual or stacked) I'd be one very happy camper. https://imgur.com/a/g1eQGVU

Amy Murphy

Yes yes yes! Love this idea.

Amy Murphy

A long time ago you created a "what's in my bag" series for a few of your sims. I don't know if you are interested in revisiting this series at all or if you feel you may have exhausted the concept, but I REALLY loved that edition of CC I think it is one of your sets which I use the most. I would love to explore more bags and little clutters like these.

Sara Skye

Oh, it's typically the kind of things where I'd need pictures for inspiration because I know *nothing* about military bases, so to me, Strangeville is quite realistic! Ahah! :D

Around the Sims

Doesn't it exist already? I know there's very specific CC sites just about horse stuff, with like EVERYTHING on the matter (at least there is for Sims 3, but it's probably true for Sims 4?), but I'll check what's been done and what I could do. :)

Around the Sims

Haha, here, you read directly on my own project list, because it's something I wanted to do for the summer. My idea was a train station, but I could keep more vague and make stuff available for all kinds of transport, yep!

Around the Sims

Yeah, it's indeed something I miss too; I have few nerds in my game who desperately need more clutter: I tried to make some at some Advent calendar, like the Star Wars set wth tiny sculptures & mug, or with the dragon book end, but a shop would be nice. But hard to not be too heavy on vertices! But I do approve! :D Maybe small thematic sets on that.

Around the Sims

More playground & "play-tent" for toddlers, yeah, I like the idea! ;))) As for adding more colors to my playground set, I could give it a try, but I really dislike the outdoors light in the Sims 4, so I know I'm quickly discoraged by the result. :/

Around the Sims

Thanks a lot for all those picture links, always very helpful! And yep, an upgrade for an hospital set would be good!

Around the Sims

CycloneSue had already made a great set on that matter at TSR, but indeed, I don't know other sets about this and it could be useful!

Around the Sims

I've been remodeling the towns and I have been trying to turn strangerville into a military base but all of the CC for that just doesn't quite feel right so....Maybe some of that?

Skittles Gaming

Horse stuff (bridles/bridle racks, English/dressage saddle racks, etc.), more vet stuff both small and large animal, kid/toddler/infant stuff, but anything you make would be awesome!

Sonrisa Goldman

Ooh how about a set about travel/public transport? Like air, train, boat and coach travel, something like that, to make a station or port? I'm thinking things like an arrivals/departures board, public announcement speakers, coach timetable board, "Now Boarding" lightbox, platform/terminal number signage, route map board, air/train/cruise line branded signs, signs/ads for airport shuttle services, customs declaration forms, staff computer terminals, an X-ray scanner, boarding ticketing paperwork, some kind of worn out metro card/railcard, ID scanners or ticket scanners, etc. Also, your lovely luggage set, maybe you could also have a version that is labelled as lost property?

Amy Murphy

The ATS3 and ATS4 sites are down right now but there is a "Slob's Life" set there already, in case you didn't know. It has a pile of laundry, an empty pizza box and slice, an open book, an open bag of crisps, etc. but I still love you suggestion, I'd love to see an update to this theme.

Amy Murphy

So I'm remodelling a shopping centre at the moment (in TS3) and I'm currently making a business/hangout spot for the nerds. I'm using your Dungeons and Dragons game board as the central fixture in the shop BUT I've noticed there's not a lot of other content (neither EA or custom) for themed for hardcore nerds. TS3 UL came with some stuff for the comic book store but there isn't that much. Do you think maybe you'd ever be interested in expanding on your Dungeons and Dragons board with more paraphernalia? Like fantasy/sci-fi posters, figurines, other nerdy mess? Similarly, I've never been able to make a good 2000s era goth shop, stuff for that would be amazing! ❤️

Amy Murphy

I know I already asked about some stuff (and it was amazing, thank you so much!) so I don't want to overstep, but I'm assuming based on the fact that this is still pinned that you might still be interested in suggestions, right? Because there are a few things I keep thinking about, which I would love to see from you especially, because it would be awesome to have them match with your really cool commercial playground set. The first thing is that one of my favorite kids objects is the play tent from Dream Home Decorator -- I love that it's an opportunity for imaginative and interactive play, especially for children and toddlers together, and I would love to see a version of it that makes more sense to have in more permanent outdoor spaces and on community lots, designed like one of those built-in play houses you can find on playgrounds, like these: https://natureofearlyplay.com/product-category/imaginative/play-houses/ or this one: https://www.playgroundequipment.com/driftwood-inn/ or this one: https://www.gametime.com/dramatic-play-house-beige-and-green-roof-36058 or this one: https://natureofearlyplay.com/product/tot-house/ I actually think it would work really well to have is just be based on your version of the TS3 climber, but just moved to ground level with the ladders and stilts removed. Another thought I had is based on the same play tent, but inspired by K9DB on MTS's idea of making a rug-footprint object with the functionality of the play tent (seen here: https://modthesims.info/d/657930/play-blankets.html ) I feel like that would be a really nice way of making a functional sandbox in TS4, and I would love to see a version of your sandbox that works that way. Also, and this one is the most complex thing and maybe not feasible -- thinking of how you made the big climbing structure in that set by cloning the pirate ship and redesigning it to look like a normal playground structure -- I would love to see something like that but for a fully upgraded Growing Together treehouse (or almost fully upgraded -- never seen a commercial playground structure with built in lights so maybe that would be reasonable to leave off). Not only would it add another really cool play option, but having a version of the treehouse that makes sense to place on a community lot would also allow kids who live in apartments to complete the Creative Genius child aspiration. The thing, of course, is that I'm not sure whether it's possible to create a new object based on just the completed an upgraded version of a canon object, or whether you'd have to also make a version of the un-constructed treehouse and the process of building it. In the latter case, I wonder if it might make sense to design it as if it were one of those volunteer "build a community playground" types of events? Like this kind of thing: https://www.playlsi.com/en/playground-planning-tools/plan-your-playground/community-playground-build/ if that seems feasible and interesting to you. (Also, I don't know if this is the kind of thing you'd do, but I would love to see more color palettes for the TS4 version of your playground set. In particular, these seem in line with the kind of style you've established for them: https://natureofearlyplay.com/color-palette/ )

can you make a version of your resteraunt kitchen dishwasher that works in community lots please?

A slob set. A set of items to be combined with your other clutter sets to create a chaotic, messy, kind of gross environment. Ideas would be discarded food wrappers, piled up dirty dishes, dirty clothes discarded on the floor or on furniture, piles of objects that weren't put away properly (meshed together), tipped over and spilled jars, etc.

Josh Snyder

In general, just more "messy" furniture. Not nasty or disgusting furniture, but furniture that looks worn down or not nice.

Winnie Wu

Okay I feel very silly. Somebody at MTS has just kindly informed me that there is indeed already sunscreen makeup for TS3 which came with Island Paradise, it's just not there for toddlers. Never mind!

PENELOPE

I was just taking some various pictures of my Sims to send you for your recent post and one of them is one of my families at the beach, and I just realised, we don't have a good "sunscreen" makeup for TS3. I could have sworn I had one until recently, but looking around the internet has turned up no results. Maybe you'd be interested in a small summery sunscreen set, to complement your sunburn makeup? 😁

Amy Murphy

Okay, so! I don't know enough about making objects slots to know if this would be a massively tedious task, but I thought I'd mention it in case you like the idea. Mutske made this Christmas tree and deco set in 2014 that I really like because the tree is covered in slots where you can place the tree deco yourself (basic baubles, candles). The only thing is, after all these years it would be great to have a different one (maybe one that looks more like one of those sparse, semi-realistic artificial trees on a stand rather than a real "bushy" potted tree) with new decorations like tree toppers, expensive ones, cheap ones, kid's handmade ornaments, themed ones, etc. so it could fit in with different types of households. This is the tree by Mutske I'm talking about: https://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/Mutske/downloads/details/category/sims3-sets-objects-decorative/title/christmas-tree-and-decoration/id/1181611/ And here's the kind of artificial tree I was talking about: https://source.widen.net/content/dt4u26nfev/webp/ACT-T-UK_Alpine-Christmas-Tree_LEDCA_SSC-10.webp?position=c&color=ffffffff&quality=80&u=7mzq6p&w=1371&h=1714

I have been hoping that you would create a Lingerie store like Victoria's secret, a shoe store, and a kids shop. Also I love your baskets and only wish that they could be hung from ceiling beams. I have been a fan of yours since Sims 2. Thank you for all of the joy that you have given us.

LYNDA HENDERSON

Forgive me for my ignorance if this already exists in TS4, but I was playing today and realised that there's so such thing in TS3 as a backless version of the murphy bed. Placing the one we have in game blocks out the wall behind meaning you can't use it to display art, wall lights (such as your new neon ones) or let in daylight through a window. Do you think it's possible to make a simple one like this that is edited to remove the whole back and just leave behind the outer frame? I have no idea if that would even work honestly but it would be really useful. See below a very basic representation of what I mean (and excuse my lazy editing!) https://i.imgur.com/pBfJbQh.jpeg It seems the murphy bed was backless in TS2: https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/Murphy_bed

Great idea too! Would you have links with pictures of what you'd need? If I google myself, I might find stuff that aren't so pertinent but I couldn't say.

Around the Sims

Oh of course, please know that these sets are great and I use them *all* the time. I think that's the problem actually - I like them so much that all of my museums in each town I make end up dominated by these two themes haha. In The Sims 3 I like to make a big network of my various installed worlds as travel destinations using Nraas Traveller (so like I'll live in Strawberry Acres and have visit a youth hostel base camp in Aurora Skies, a campsite in Isla Paradiso, a guest house in Sunlit Tides, etc.) and I like to stock their respective museums with art and history relevant to their culture, plus some general stuff. But I find that I run out of things to put in them. Like there aren't a lot of dinosaur bones or ancient jewellery or cultural relics outside of the handful in World Adventures. As somebody else said, there are so many cool fictional (and real) cultures in The Sims that don't actually have a lot of actual things to help show them off, which is a shame. Converting Sims 4 collectibles would be amazing, if it's something you'd be up for doing. I know I'd find lots of use for that stuff.

Amy Murphy

I second this! Really good shout.

I have a couple of museums in my game, and sure, I could revamp them! I might need to convert the Sims 4 collectibles to end there. I guess you have it already, but I have a couple of museum items in the "Museum of Sims history" set (aka Prehistorical ), and of course, in the shopping area of the art museum: https://aroundthesims3.com/objects/room_downtown_58.shtml https://aroundthesims3.com/objects/room_downtown_53.shtml But yes to MORE!

Ooooh, can you believe I have *never* played with the food synthesizer? Probably because I thought it was too "futurist" for my game, but it sounds it can be interesting! I'll have a look!

That one is my own to-do list! I can't say more about it, but it's definively something I want to do (except that I can't draw cars but that's a detail! ;D And, no, no, I love all your suggestions! They're really inspiring!

Around the Sims

Another one just sprung to mind haha! You have that really cool outdoor cinema screen already, so I was thinking - if we had "cars" (especially cabriolet cars) that actually functioned as loveseats or park benches or something, we could use them to have a drive-in movie theatre? There are some cars in TS3 already that would probably work really well if you were able to make them into functional chairs, but I don't know how easy that is. By the way I hope you don't mind all the suggestions, I'm definitely not expecting you to do them and I won't be offended at all if you don't get around to them! I'm just hoping that you find some of them interesting or useful. ❤️

Amy Murphy

Oh I just remembered something I left off of my suggestions for things like coffee bars, ice cream stands, boba tea, etc. Do you think you'd be interested in making a fast food kiosk or service hatch that functions as a food synthesiser (TS3:ITF)? The food synthesiser placed on normal public lots generates a human waiter and it's a great, simple alternative to the other restaurant systems available in the game. Potato-ballad-sims made one a while back but it would be really cool to see other versions in the style of your work. https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/Food_synthesizer https://www.tumblr.com/potato-ballad-sims/633590767491956737/springing-back-in-for-a-super-late-halloween

I hope I'm not too late with this. I used to have an outdoor medievil stone wall and floor that was shiny as though it was raining. And an ancient looking wall fountain and a few stone statues of saints, about 3/4 size. I hope this is not too much. I'd like it for Sims 3. I built a walled garden next to a church abbey that I loved. Tks for reading this!

Would it be possible to create something similar to this mod here?: https://www.patreon.com/posts/buyable-gift-65242258. The creator hasn't updated it since 2022 and I mainly like the aesthetics of the display, something to decorate businesses and stores, but also the possibility of buying a gift for the sims to spend in coffee shops and bookstores, for example. My idea is that gift cards can be used only once and each one related to something specific, such as: books, coffees, food deliveries, among others. This mod is linked to another one that adds more functional items for children's birthday parties (https://www.patreon.com/posts/better-parties-65257029), something that I would also love, since the party kit released by EA focuses only on the decoration part and not on more activities.

Rozamarie H.

I love this, such a good suggestion, especially the focus on things for younger Sims. The Sims (especially TS4) introduced all these great locations with their own cultures but we don't have much "stuff" to show for it in that sense. And they'd be so versatile, too, like you could use the souvenirs for an educational display in a school, in gift shops, museums and galleries, in Sims' workplaces as desk clutter, etc.

Amy Murphy

Another idea: Gifts and toys from "vacation worlds" (Mt. Komorebi, Tartosa, Sulani etc) that can be placed in sim's inventory and maybe the household inventory. I have a household where the dad is a traveler and he has 2 kids a child and toddler. There isn't really many stuff to send to sims (especially for infants, toddlers and children) that represent the culture of those worlds. I'm thinking souvenirs, toys, knitted stuff, clutter to put on their shelves, walls, bed, desk etc.

A.E Romst

I love making shops and restaurants in my game and have all of your simlish gift boxes, like the Barbie dolls, other toys, appliances etc. also love simlish signs ( tbh I think I have everything you’ve made in my mod folder ) anyhow I would love more in simlish and a simlish McDonalds sign to go with your McDonald’s set or any other fast food simlish signage.

twistedjane

Great idea, I definitely want to boost this request for neon signs. We had a few of them in older Sims games that had this wonderful retro quality and they're so versatile. It's also another area where they are a lot of options in TS2 and TS4 but a bit of a gap for TS3, even for the basics, neon signs of things like the simoleon symbol, hearts, cocktails, dice, moon and stars, fast food, beer, arrows, etc. For example I love this one by pineappleforest for TS2: https://pforestsims.tumblr.com/post/660262673874878464/ts2-neon-set And maybe Simlish writing? https://tukete.tumblr.com/post/178108254703/simlish-neon-signs-new-meshes-in-lights

Amy Murphy

I would love to see more recipes focusing on entrées, because sims have so many desserts. I want to see more cultural foods and modern food ethnic food.

Black Orchid

For Sims 3 - I would love to see a mini add-on to the McDonald’s set - drive-thru items!

Vintage_Dreamer

I would like more mess clutter especially rugs so my sims don't have a problem walking around. I'm thinking clothes like underwear, shirts, pants, shorts, skirts; towels, pet toys, pacifiers, diapers, spilled baby powder; fallen & crushed makeup, spilled skin care etc. Stressed out mom life with kids and pets theme. Would also like clutter for a family dentist's office.

A.E Romst

I would LOVE modern arcade games in TS4! Not just the '80s retro kind, but the kind where you win tickets and exchange them for prizes! They could work like festival tickets in TS3 Seasons.

Eleanor Swan

Oh I have another one, I can't believe I forgot about how much I wanted this! I love the coffee bars you've made for TS3'S UNI EP (like this one https://aroundthesims3.com/objects/images/downtown_rockfestival/coffeebar.jpg) and food stands for Seasons (https://aroundthesims3.com/objects/images/downtown_foodstand/bbq.jpg). If you're in the mood for it, it would be amazing to see a new range of food stands, ice cream stands and coffee bars this year in different styles. Like maybe a coffee stand that you'd see in an office that functions like TS3's UNI barista bar and whatever is TS4's equivalent), for instance. It would be great for putting a "tea lady" behind it haha. Or an ice cream stand themed around being at a zoo/theme park. And if so, bonus question, do you think you'd be willing to work you magic on making a new, simple bubble tea counter to use with TS4's HSY EP and olomaya's "Boba-fied Bubble Tea Counter" script (https://olomaya.tumblr.com/post/712261776997253120/bubble-tea-counter-boba-fied)? Of course there's the one already in TS4 HSY that has also been converted 4t3 by twinsimming, but the style of it clashes with a lot of other furniture sets, and I much prefer your style of objects which is less blocky, bulky and plastic looking than EAxis makes for TS4. Your stuff is brilliant because it manages to look great in both TS3 and TS4.

Amy Murphy

https://www.theclockdepot.com/Bulova-B8821-Heather-Chiming-Anniversary-Clock.html

Eleanor Swan

I would love to have more clocks! I'll show you the kind I'm looking for.

Eleanor Swan

Yes on the Anniversary clock! I would also love Rhythm Clocks in TS4. You know, the kind that makes music. It doesn't have to be functional, but it would be much appreciated!

Eleanor Swan

Okay I've had this half-idea knocking around my head for a while now, this feels like a good place to get it out haha. I have this concept of a "mementos and memorabilia" set. It started with the idea of photo album objects in different styles (maybe with open and closed variants) that function as a storage chest so that I can use it a place to keep my Sims' photographs without having to display them in frames. I loved the photo albums we could order online in TS2 BV that our Sims could pick up and read, and this feels like the closest equivalent. Other potential ideas I thought would match this theme: commemorative anniversary/retirement clock, graduation cap and gown, vintage travel souvenirs, memory quilt, memory boxes/jar for different things (baby's first, wedding, etc.), keepsake cabinet, vintage toys, family time capsule (which you could pretend to "bury" and "dig up" or something), autographs of sports or movie stars, vintage military patches, scout badges and trophies, old-looking award certificates. This would fill in a lot of gaps in TS3. I don't play TS4 as often but maybe it would make a good add-on to the "Basement Treasures" Kit concept. And isn't there a keepsake box in one of the packs, maybe that function could be incorporated? It would be cool to have a mix of things that are more personal to Sims than just a broken old TV, but generic enough that they wouldn't have to be for any specific house.

That's the most realistic ones I can do, so I'm going to pass on that one, but you play Sims 3, right? You can use Fresh Prince Creations cars and made them as decor with the Transmogrifier. CloudDancer Mogle

Okay, it's taken me a while to get round to replying to this... I love all the things you make! My Sims 3 game could do with curtains and blinds. But what I'd love are shabby looking ones, roller blinds all crooked, curtains in rags (to go with all your slob's life stuff!) and then smart versions of the same. I'd also love open and closed versions of matching curtains, as it seems so odd for my sims to not be able to shut the curtains at night. And recolourable!

Kate Kelsall

I'd really like bank and post office items

Kay Bee

Not sure if it's too late to reply but as a Sims 3 player I've been hoping for more neon signs (for store fronts/basements) and graffiti decals that are Maxis Match friendly (like using simlish - I think I'm currently using every single one that was converted from the Sims 4, but I'd still love more). A lot of my playstyle involves trying to capture realistic cityscapes, so I really enjoy all the 'ugly'-ify objects you've given us! :) Another idea (but perhaps not your style, no pressure) would be a pin-up girl calendar/'centerfold' type posters for a man cave lol. I just had a hard time a few months ago finding what I was looking for (I'm thinking posters like the 'classic' 1970s Farah Fawcett swimsuit poster). Actually, I'd love more classic 70's style objects and decor (beyond what we have in the one expansion pack). I'm Gen Z so I don't know what I'm specifically thinking of lol but something about the 70s is so cozy to me. I am so sorry to keep editing, but I wanted to add: decor cars! Maybe I'm just out of the loop, but I keep trying to find cars that don't actually function as cars and can just be used as set dressing in parking lots (and hopefully community lot friendly) - I'd love beaten down ones, outdated ones, and even a few specialty/high-end ones. Not sure if that makes sense. Thank you for all your work!

I was thinking more deli items like prepackaged dinners, snack cakes, etc. Kinda of like the items that came with your Japanese convenience store set but edible. Sims 3 is severely lacking in custom recipes esp homestyle recipes.

Dominique Felder

aww, that's really something I'd like too but it demands modding skills I havent, unfortunately! :( I could only make decorative stuff (which wouldnt be fun!), plus Sims 4 has already deco pottery stuff.

Around the Sims

I love it!,

Around the Sims

Oh, yes! I love making that kind of stuff! Do you have more precise suggestions or brands (that will be simmified)? Otherwise, you know your Sims might end up with french snacks! ;)

Around the Sims

It"s something I need too! I wanted to make some after my jewelry set but I wanted a bit of diversity between two sets, and then... other projects came first.

Around the Sims

I was hoping getting back to Sims 2 last summer, but with RL chaos, I couldn't and, I must say, I lost motivation too, but Sims 2 is installed, and I had downloaded tutorials (it's been so long now that I'm completely rusted and dont even remember how to bypass the lack of Simpe server to get new GUIDs. But it's not a 'no way,' it's a 'might be, if I find time, motivation and if I still know how it works',

Around the Sims

ahah, no problem! I like having pictures! :)) and I love making stuff for toddlers. In Sims 3, I play a lot with my preschool. :)

Fun Jewelry Displays like you'd find at thrift stores and festivals, I feel like we have many beautiful fancy jewelry decor but not regular items. Piercing Studio decor like - Sharps Container on wall (I guess this is also Hospital decor lol) - Piercing Diagrams wall art - Body Jewelry Displays (under/on counter) - Body Parts Piercing Displays (ears, nose, mouth, tongue, etc)

Would you consider making things for Sims 2?

I hope this isn't excessive -- I just got really excited!

Oh also! I know we don't actually need this because toddlers in the Generation daycare career don't take naps, but I've always thought it would be cool to have commercial cribs for my childcare environments! (Regular ones: https://www.foundations.com/childcare/all-daycare-products-for-children/daycare-cribs/solid-wood-baby-cribs/next-gen-serenity-safereach-compact-cribs.html or evacuation cribs (even if the distinction is only visual -- I can't see a gameplay scenario where I would need to use them for evac): https://www.foundations.com/childcare/all-daycare-products-for-children/daycare-cribs/solid-wood-baby-cribs/next-gen-first-responder-evacuation-compact-crib.html and possibly people would also appreciate a version without the stickers all over it for home use as well?)

These are the kind of bookshelf I mean (almost but not quite like the one in your Sweet Buddies nursery set, although that one is awesome too!): https://www.kaplanco.com/product/48108/carolina-5-shelf-book-display?c=1%7CFC1012 https://www.kaplanco.com/product/95733/carolina-book-display?c=1%7CFC1009 https://www.kaplanco.com/product/63588/soft-and-cozy-book-display?c=1%7CFC1040 https://www.kaplanco.com/product/80475/carolina-toddler-book-display?c=1%7CFC1012 https://www.discountschoolsupply.com/furniture/storage/book-display/birch-sling-book-display---contemporary/p/s1195632 (I especially like the low ones for toddlers, but the taller ones might be more appropriate if players without the mod in question want one for children to use.)

Ellie Sweeney

Something I think would go great with your Montessori set would be an outward-facing bookshelf for kids -- the kind that makes all the book covers visible so that kids who can't read the spines yet can still find the book they want. I'd also love to see objects and clothes with gradient textures (so that by applying the right patterns I can make galaxy designs, sunset skies, etc.).

Buyable and edible foods for super markets. Like prepackaged snacks, meals, drinks, etc. Basically things that I can stock a grocery store shelf with without having to cook and/or food spawn them.

A proper Aga stove lol I'm talking the old bulky ones with the pipe going up the back. Sims tried to make a sorry little one in Cottage living but it just isn't the same for my little farms. Not just for cooking but also for heating the house? Am I crazy? Lol

Pottery for Sims 3. We have most of the FreeTime activities ported except this.
