(FAQ2) Patreon Reward Frequently Asked Questions

Hi everyone! Ket here~ We plan to have an art and development update for you by the end of this month (11/30). In the meantime, we have a lot of new people who weren't around from the beginning, so I want to answer a few questions I have been getting about the Patreon tiers and rewards.

1. What are the $2 rewards?

Discord server access and a monthly Patreon post with news that sometimes contains art, such as animations or still images. To access Discord, please see the Patreon FAQ [#1].

2. Can I join the $5 tier?

Yes! This is our newly named Frog Frisker tier! While the original $5 tier was retired from the start of 2022 through the end of April 2025, the tier has returned as Frog Frisker, giving you access to downloads of Oh So Hero! on PC, Mac, and Linux!

3. What are the $5/$7 rewards?

For either $5 or $7, in addition to getting the rewards from the $2 tier, you'll receive a monthly upgrade of Oh So Hero! in the form of a new build (version) of the game. Each month typically alternates between a build with new animations/content and a build with technical improvements. We will make a post whenever a build is ready. The $5 tier gives you PC/Mac/Linux game builds, and the $7 tier has all that plus Android builds.

4. What are the $10 rewards?

The $10 rewards are identical to the $7 rewards, but with an added feature: The official Oh So Hero! Comic by ThatPuggy!  You will need to connect to Discord through Patreon and access the #osh-comic channel to read it.

5. Is there a lifetime tier?

No. Sorry. There was never a lifetime tier. Ambiguous wording regarding the "lifetime pledge amount" on the $10 tier caused some confusion. However, there are some lifetime pledge perks which are based on the total amount ever pledged by you, one of these being inclusion in the credits of Oh So Hero!

6. If I drop my pledge, will I lose my rewards?

Yes, with the exception of lifetime pledge perks (see question 5).

7. You missed a month. What happened?

We always strive to provide new content on a monthly schedule, but we occasionally slip off track due to health issues, personal emergencies, or simply protracted development. We are too small of a team to always be at 100%. All we can do is apologize and continue working. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Correction: The original version of this post had erroneous references to "v0.15", but this was intended to be "v0.20" (completion of Bates). This has been fixed.

Update (2025-04-27): You can join the $5 tier once again. $7 adds Android. $10 is Comic instead of "Credits"... as Credits is actually a lifetime pledge perk. For more details, see the Patreon FAQ [#7].
