Walking Mod v0.2 — Flashlight, Tracking Mode & Core Reworks
Added 2026-01-17 09:30:37 +0000 UTCThis update took longer than it should have. Not because of scope creep, but because a lot of ideas didn’t fit together at first. Some things failed, some had to be rethought, and that cost time.
Exit Car & Walk Mode
while the app is active, pressing E will make you exit the car and walk around freely. to drive again, simply enter the car as usual.
if you exit the car and disable the app, the handbrake will remain engaged. keep the app active or re-enter the car before disabling it. if this behavior causes any issues, contact me.
UI / Tabs Organization
The tabs were reorganized to make configuration clearer. There are many settings now, so the focus here was reducing friction and making everything easier to understand and tweak.

Sway Rework
The sway system was reworked to feel more dynamic and less repetitive.
Instead of a constant left-right pattern, sway now behaves in a more unpredictable way. It can still be attenuated or tuned through the settings.
Idle Sway / Breathing Mode
This existed in the previous version, but it was confusing and inconsistent.
Now, when standing still, the camera has a subtle, continuous, unpredictable movement.
The key part of this rework was connecting walking sway and idle sway, so when you stop moving, the transition feels like a single continuous motion, not a hard switch.
Mouse Movement Rework
The mouse system was reworked to add small secondary movements when the mouse is moved abruptly.
There is now added delay and smoothing to make it feel more natural, closer to controller behavior instead of raw input.
Separate Zoom Settings
Mouse zoom and controller zoom settings are now separated to make fine-tuning easier.
Gimbal Mode
A new gimbal mode was added.
The goal is a more floating, smooth camera feel. Internally, this means reducing or cutting some effects.
This mode still needs adjustments and will be refined over time.
Flashlight + Flashlight Sway
A flashlight system based on the native AppShelf flashlight, with added sway behavior.
The idea is to simulate someone actually holding a flashlight.
Includes height adjustment, sway intensity, and related parameters.
Tracking Mode
Adds a tracking system that follows the center of a selected car.
This uses an alternative sway logic to avoid looking artificial.
Delay, overshoot, tremor, and speed are used to keep the movement organic rather than locked or robotic.
“Aimbot” Mode
Not yet.
Object tracking looks promising, but it has serious performance issues. It works well on small maps, but heavily impacts performance overall, even after being disabled.
This breaks immersion and experience.
It will return later as a “danger mode” once performance problems are solved.
Thanks for the continued support so far. It genuinely makes it possible to keep pushing this forward.
Comments
When I get back into the car, my steering wheel is unresponsive. It's like it does not translate inputs to the car, however when an AI hit my car my wheel spazzed out. I don't know what the issue is but currently I cannot use the mod because of this. Restarting session doesn't help I have to quit the race.

2026-01-22 16:14:52 +0000 UTCwhen my mouse hits the right or left screen edge it stops rotating the camera. is this a limitation or am I missing something?
