I think the big difference between the two is that manwha si-eun is ruthless because he knows these people won't learn until you beat them up. If he doesn't beat them up, somebody else will get hurt eventually. Kdrama Si-Eun doesn't even wanna fight if at all possible because somebody will get hurt eventually.

It's also good to note that although Jin Yeon is an Olympic silver medalist in Judo, he chose to follow his mother's path of academic excellence, instead of his father's path of continuing to train in Judo. When Si-Eun schooled Baek Jin about isolating the VARIABLES, he gave us keen INSIGHT into the depth of his analytical thought process when fighting. He is always looking for environmental variables that can give him an added advantage, yet, at the same time, won't work against him. We see this in the fight with Seong Je. He isolates the objects around him and focuses on the success rate of each in a few seconds. Just as he took one second to solve that math problem for Baek Jin, it only took him a few seconds to figure out that the plant would work most effectively. Once decided, instead of just picking up the plant and throwing it as a weapon, he immediately analyzed every variable associated with the plant, down to the backdraft of dirt that would blow back on him. He calculated with precision how hard and where to strike a blow with the plant pot that would give him the advantage of allowing the dirt to distract Seong Je, enough to grab his glasses, temporarily blind him, and use them as a weapon to disable his foot. He even analyzed where to stab him to weaken his foundation. Conversely, Baek Jin has zero understanding or consideration of the role of VARIABLES and their relation to the real world. In essence, he is a book and street-smart dummy. Unfortunately, Si-Eun’s lack of emotion blinded him to Baek Jin’s ability to retain, apply, and solve quickly. The moment he told Baek Jin to isolate the variables and solve quickly, he gave him power he did not know he possessed. He taught him how to use isolating variables as a weapon. Once again, math paved the way to moving the plot forward. Gosh…Si Eun’s analysis and deduction skills are on a savant level. Dude is a genius with an Eeyore (Winnie the Pooh) personality. I don't even want to imagine the damage he could do with a thistle bush. LOL

Personally I’m not able to do much because I don’t get into mastering the audio as it fluctuates throughout the drama sometimes they’re whispering sometimes they’re yelling sometimes there’s music etc.
