Graduation is very special to the dreamies. Before, they were very cautious of the word graduation because Mark leaving was still so fresh and hearing graduation reminds them of Dream being incomplete. Now that they're a fixed unit, they're graduating from the old "graduation" with a fresh start. The word won't hurt them anymore because, with this song, they were able to spin the word into a more positive outlook. Mark's last line is "What's left after we let them all go is warm hands and us", they can now let go of all the hurt in the past and move forward together.
