June Game Development Update: prototyping eating mechanics?!

I have decided that I want to add a small stuffing minigame to the next test build of the Sophia RPG. I think it would make for a fun way for Sophia to recover health at the inn and I want to prototype it as quickly as possible. Even though this addition is small, adding it along with testing and polishing things up will probably extend the next release date to July, even though I wanted to have it out by June. I apologize for how making this next build has taken so many months when releasing previous builds took much less time. A lot of planning has gone into how the game is going to be set up in that time, and I want to make a good impression to inspire future support.

I want to get the games

There will be some wordplay, and I have been considering having a number of characters throughout the game speak entirely in rhymes. I'm a little hesitant because that might make localization very difficult, but I'll probably end up going with it anyway, we'll see!

It just occurred to me. Are we going to see the elves involve a lot of word play? For examples from recent posts, enchantment becomes enhancements? or like on the sign "Faerie Feasting and Napping" becomes "Faerie, Feasting, and Napping" and list of exclusive items. Sophia isn't a Faerie but she might be feasting and napping?

The minigame will be a very simple activity unlike any I’ve demonstrated before. And Sophia can go to the inn at any time. And weight gain, as of right now in the current plans, only happens as the plot demands.

How big do you plan on making Sophia’s belly grow in the stuffing mini game? Can we expect belly sizes like in your other games?

Any plans to base it on previous game-loops like like Yuletide Sophia's tetris-style, or will it stick to to something more like a QTE so as not to cram too many different gameplay mechanics into the game at once? Also, will this be a feature that's permanently usable like the healing stations in games like System Shock, or will it be something you can only use so often and/or at certain times? Last but not least; do any instances of visiting the inn have any impact on Sophia's weight stats if you do it often enough, or is that strictly limited to plot-spicific consumptions for lack of a better term?

For the purpose of this test build it's going to be pretty straightforward, and eating to fullness will completely restore Sophia's health.

Will the minigame have different completion percentages that heal for different amounts? Like if I did poorly and only got a little bit, it would heal for less than if I passed the game and made it to the end?
