New Years Resolutions

It's now been well over a year since I started the Patreon and I have no idea where all that time went??? Feels like I only started last week lol

I wanna extend a thank you to all the patrons that allowed this venture to work out as well as it has, it's been a pleasure making stuff for you guys and seeing all the feedback! If you told me a few years back I'd be capable of maintaining a Patreon I would've laughed and launched the ICBM.

I'm deeply excited for another year of arting for the Patrons that will blow everything from this past year out of the water, especially now that I'm taking a very extended break from commission work. This means I'll have a lot more time to really cook with personal art, both the usual spice and serious OC stuff.

I have some personal resolutions I'd love to fulfill over this next year, given that I'm self-critical of every little thing I do LOL

1) STUDY MORE: I wanna further improve my fundamentals so I can take more leaps with my art, this includes anatomy, posing, backgrounds, etc.

• Something I've acknowledged to myself again and again and again is that I'm not taking enough leaps and not experimenting more with my works and it didn't help that 2024 was so congested between IRL mishaps and how busy the Commission work periods got, and the latter didn't facilitate that much experimentation. During this hiatus, I hope to improve this by a ton.

2) DO MORE NON-HORNY ART: I think I'm already off to a good start here with some upcoming uploads, but I know I could do so much more. This is gonna include more character design/redesign showcases, conceptual art, landscape pieces, comics like that last one I put up on Christmas Eve, and dare I say it: male characters. This is all also to say that I wish to develop and showcase Rekindled stuff more often.

• I do feel that over this past year I've failed some folks by doing more of the sexy element and I wanna seek a better balance (Not to say there won't be a good bit of saucy stuff I have like too many ideas in my head beckoning my name...)

3) SET A SCHEDULE: Something I wanna do for sure is organize my time better and how I go about the quantity of my art. Given that I'm off of commission work for a while, I figured it'd be fun to test drive giving myself a tentative 20 "Slots" full of ideas for me to work on during a given month, give or take a few. This way, I can better organize and quantify the amount of serious work vs. the suggestive stuff. I currently have a list ready to work on for the month of January!

• 2024 was grueling because I didn't enforce a schedule upon myself, leading to multiple bouts of burnout and stress. I feel like with this hiatus I'll be better able to manage my work time. This change will also apply to commissions when those open up much, much later (July is the plan).

4) IMPROVE DISCORD SERVER EXPERIENCE: If I'm able? So far it's been fun! But I know I could be better about committing to community stuff I've had ideas for. Also, if you're a Patron already on the Canary and Falcon tiers and you are NOT in the server then you are able to access it if you wish to get familiar with the community! That said, I wanna know what you guys think of the Patreon so far and if it's been worth lending your support. Is it gonna be worth supporting for another year? Is there anything I should work to improve upon that I haven't mentioned here? What does work and make this all worthwhile? I don't need answers to everything I'm just tossing shit out lol

That said, thank you again for your continued support. This has been a big highlight in recent memory. Here's to another 365 :]
