June Comic Poll #1

This time I remembered to write this poll up in time! I'm doing what I'm expected to! 😅

1. Breakaway Success - In the Seventh Realm, many of the small human nations have growing concerns over rumors that the Kingdom of West Galria has, despite the losing war against the Dywinnican Elves, started to become a servitor state of the Morundine Empire. And more conerning, rumors are spreading that the nobles of West Galria have become vampiric in nature and are expanding their armies with vampirically empowered soldiers.

Among those concerned is the amazonian Queendom of Touria, who returns to the alchemical arts that first enhanced its female population, now with some experimental ingredients helpfully provided by Nightfolk rebels from Tenshyr. Working with a few AMAB volunteers, since the hardier female Tourians are more resistant to alchemical effects, Tourian scholars practice new, experimental potions on their subjects.

One particular subject experiences rapid and unprecedented changes, gaining power while taking on both many female qualities from the base Tourian enhancement formula and new, more monstrous qualities from the new ingredients. The subject embraces these changes eagerly, encouraging and even swiping new formulas to further her changes, and soon her Tourian handlers start to lose control...

2. A Guided Transition -  After the lovely dinner that Olivia (from An Enhanced Transition) had with Sam, now Samantha, has finally made her decision. With Olivia's help and guidence she had a CRISPR treatment tailored for her. She sits down on her bed, holding the syringe in her hands, she tries to inject herself but stops at the last possible second.

Her phobia of needles is far too strong, so she calls Olivia for help. She gets there as soon as she can. Olivia comforts Samantha as she does the injection, saying that it will help her blossom into a beautiful woman she always was deep inside. They spend the night together by just talking about their feelings and their hopes for the future.

A week passes and it's time for the second injection. This time they both hold hands as Olivia does it for Samantha. Instead of just talking they opt to sleep together and cuddle. But nothing sexual happens as Samantha would rather wait until the treatment is finished. The third and final injection is different. Samantha manages to do it herself as Olivia hugs her. No words are needed as Olivia pulls her into the bed, they spend the night passionately. The comic ends on the morning after as they look each other in the eyes and kiss.

3. Class Flip - Two eggy friends from the modern day find an odd new table-top RPG rulebook in their favorite game store. "Roads of The Realm," a completely new type of ruleset and a setting they've never heard of. Nonetheless, they buy it together and start skimming through it while walking back home.

As they read it, they talk about what kind of characters they plan to make. One of them is a big fan of playing high charisma characters, like Elf sorceresses who specialize in diplomacy - while the other has always been a fan of the combat in these games and wants to roll a brutish Orc barbarian. But as they read up on the lore of the setting, they find out that this setting doesn't let Elves play as sorcerers and Orcs can't be barbarians. But since the game systems are pretty robust, they decide to just "houserule" it when they get home.

But as if the book heard what they said and got offended at the lore-breaking, it sucks the two nerds into its setting and transforms them. The nerd who wanted to play as a barbarian Orc is instead transformed into a beautiful and elegant female Orc Paladin - And the nerd who wanted to be an Elf sorceress is turned into large, muscular Elf Shaman.

It seems as if this "Seventh Realm" setting is going to give them quite an adventure...

4. "Uhm, Actually Time Doesn't Work This Way" - In the Seventh Realm, the most prominent figure of magical learning at the Academy of Tenshyr is the Magus Maximus, a man of unsurpassed knowledge and power. Frequently called upon to unravel the higher mysteries of the magical world and even speak to the Old Gods on behalf of all sorcerers, wizards, witches and other casting folk, only royalty carries a greater level of influence and prestige.

… That is so long as you're not the current holder of the title, a septuagenarian human and scion of a rather infamous magical legacy. Gibson Synoir is that man, who has spent his entire life steeped in scholarly pursuits and little else. Which is immediately apparent the moment he opens his mouth to weigh in on any passing conversation to hastily correct or inform his educated peers. Most try to stay away from him, or else be “uhm, actually’d.”

One day as he was scrying the fabric of time using his personal chronarium (a magical device which allows you to project yourself across the ages and should theoretically not be able to disturb fragile flow of time), and somehow managed to move one event that would change Gibson’s fate forever. By accidentally torching a rose garden to ash in the past, he prohibits his own father from pursuing the young lady who would one day turn into Gibson’s mother. And instead Gibson’s father chooses to dedicate his youth to his studies which will one day lead him to become the Magus Maximus instead!

But serendipitously Gibson does not disappear from history. Rather his life starts many years later, as the child of the Magus Maximus of Tenshyr and a lovely Goblin scholar. Now a young half-human-half-goblin lady by the name of Gwyneth, she quickly finds comfort in her new form. With the wisdom of hindsight, Gwyneth realizes that she only ever hid away in her books as “Gibson” because he was too dull to engage with the other students. But as Gwyneth, she has so much fun being the Academy’s resident party girl that being a woman is just right for her!

Of course, her soon-to-retire father wishes she’d spend more time studying than partying.

5. Jacked In And Jacked! - A new expansion to Empire Bay's most popular VR experience, The Continuum, has dropped and it promises a bunch of new "quality of life changes" and "increased immersion."

One very passionate AMAB fan gets it on day one and chooses to create a new Avatar since there are a bunch of new customization options. But it's not just new options, the expansion also adds "immersive character customization," which basically means that when you're making a new Avatar, the new options actively and realistically transforms the Avatar in real time. Someone on the dev team definitely had a hidden fascination they really wanted in the game...

Our eggtagonist giddily transforms the basic human Avatar into a tall, muscular and busty Tiger-girl with a rad afro. Obliviously having spent hours making her look just right, hunger sets in and they decide it's time to "Apply and Save changes."

To her great surprise, when she takes off the headset, her real world avatar (or y'know, her actual physical body) has also changed!

"Increased immersion" indeed.

6. Into the Hoodie - A member of a certain gang of lovable delinquents has taken to wearing costumes when they go about their mischief. Totally as a disguise. She's been a little frosty to her friend, who didn't tell her she was transitioning.

After she's injured by a cop on a power trip and has to drag herself back to the clubhouse to sleep it off, said friend drapes her favourite hoody over her, and all is forgiven. When she wakes up, she's surprised to realise that her body paint held up given how much she was sweating, and she doesn't remember contouring her face THAT well...also, are those actual horns growing in? Heck yeah!
