Square Keep Battle Map

Hail, heroic Patrons! Today's battle map is a layered Square Keep, a formidable tower fit for a villain, or heroes utilizing MCDM's Strongholds & Followers. Be it an abandoned relic or a furnished fort, I'm sure that you can find a place for it in your campaign.

I designed this map as a special release for the Mimic's Grid Kickstarter (now with only 70 hours to go) Each floor is 10x10" meaning you can easily stack these with tiles in-between if you want a really meaty, "2.5-dimension" set piece. If you haven't taken a look at this collab-Kickstarter yet, please be quick!

Tell me, would you like to see a furnished version as a paid map release? If so, I would also like to create a set of "damage" assets for rotting floorboards, crumbling walls, and such. A handful of broken furniture items too, I think. With these, you can give your players the satisfaction of patching up the place and seeing the changes. What do you think?

Thanks to you, this map is released under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, beginning the 27th of July, 2019.

Precisely. I want to draw a map to serve as the keep's base, with the basement and the immediate surroundings. In the meantime, you can steal a basement from one of our other buildings: https://2minutetabletop.com/?s=building&post_type=product This one is probably the best-suited: https://2minutetabletop.com/gallery/delightful-dwelling/

Which floor is the entrance level? Is it that stone floored one ... but then, where do those steps on the left lead ... a basement/cellar?

Eric Scheid

We each have 900 square inches to play with. That's not very easy to visualize, I know, but it's equivalent to nine 10x10 tiles.

I'd like to see *your* version of it rotting and crumbling--like a fully furnished building, except fully furnished with "damage" assets instead of furniture!

Awesome! I'm curious, do you know how many maps will be included per artist set?

Love it! I'm going to use it as barracks. One at each city gate!

Maxime Durocher

Very versatile! I already know what I'm gonna use it for <3

I actually forgot to flip each of these. They currently go up in an anti clockwise direction. I recommend flipping them if historical accuracy is a concern!

I feel like... those stairs.... they are a little confusing. And, are those stairs again on Floor_1, left side?
