The woman said as she relaxed on her couch talking to her work friend on her cell phone. The shrinking virus affected more and more people every day, and although only a small part of them managed to survive because they were found by their families, the vast majority always ended up crushed in different ways and places, disappearing forever without anyone ever knowing anything about them again.
"Yeah, I know...! Yesterday I found some of them trapped and crushed in my daughter's socks... We didn't even realize when it happened..."
The woman said as she pulled her feet slightly out from under the small blanket she used to relax on her couch. Little by little her soles rebelled and, without even noticing, three tiny people had been victims of not being able to escape in time while she walked around the house.
"...It's so weird to think that there could be these tiny people inside your house... Like some kind of pest, you know? But I think I'd try to help..."
