In any case, Mana isn't as easy to manipulate as you'd expect and the surface hasn't got much Mana to begin with, that's why she's trying to get the most of it by using cursed items (Relics), like her ankle-guards.
Yes, her staff is just a fancy stick, on the surface.
Now I really need to give some explanation about how Mana, Relics and the Hole are tied to eachother.
